I was but no rides cause I dont have drive license that is plm with it but I am saving my money for trip to Australia. :) .. I can do ingore what my mom controlling me or treat me like a kid :)

Aww DeafMonkey  I understand your frustration by wanting to try new things out of this life since you are old enough to be able to with or without your parents permission, some parents can be quite overprotection, I'm the same way too as a mother, I would hate the idea of my children moving out of state because of not being able to see them often as I would like to.....It's hard to make the plans on seeing them when money gets tight, and I would love nothing more but to spend alot of times with them, but also I have to relized that I can not hold onto my children, there are times I have to let them go and be happy where ever they go.... :(

My friends used to say " what your mom doesn't know, won't hurt her "....Even through I don't like hearing that because I'm a mom too and I rather my children telling me things just so I know they're okay... :aw:

Yes of course I know... I tried to explain Cheri in my post how difference between parent´s rule and overprotected parents...

Brian misunderstand DeafMonkey´s post... I explained him that DeafMonkey said in her previous post that she wish to live with her mother but she CAN´T because of her overprotection way that´s why she rather to live by her own...

Take it from me, if your mother ever meets this counseller the liklihood of her saying you have a mental illness is 95%, because it's your problem and you can't handle it.

Seriously, the Deaf and Mental Illness Boards have some stock with each other!

This does happen to many people, and even if your parents can't handle the fact that your deaf and are disabled by corporations, others, etc......or if they are ashamed of you, it always comes down to being your fault.

My experience, but don't buy any of it!, because none of that crap is real! What's real is what you feel, and what you know!
