Homes in foreclosure top 1 million

One has to look at how the mortgage industry is regulated as I added that onto my post.... :)

Oh, absolutely. And the mortgage lenders are always willing to lend more money with less downpayment when they think the economy is on the upswing and employment is stable. Many of the people loosing their homes in the current crunch are 10-15 years into a 30 year mortage. The economic climate changed drastically in that period of time.

True - he is broke in one of many companies he owned. If one failed to work, he has 100 other companies that are successful. Business rises and fall quickly within 5 years of launch. Only handful make it past 5 year milestone. I am sure Donald scoff at the loss he had at one company for he own so many companies. Think this way similar as mutual funds. If one stock fail to perform, there are another 10 stocks will do better job overall performance and still give you profit.

I have heard Trump went broke few months ago. Oh well.
yup.. filed bankruptcy several times and he's still squandering, taking advantage of loopholes.

:gpost: One of the best in AD! You're absolutely right about everything you said. Even the part about Alan Greenspan. He was practically the MAN for so many years. I don't know how Mr. Bernake manges to relieve his own stress.
:dunno: dunno why Barnake's still in business. he's clueless!!

in any lending business... regardless of economic status... borrowers with bad credit history or borrowers who pay minimum payment forever are the most profitable one for lenders and... the bigger creditors buy them from lenders to reap in profits and so on.

it's stupid

I read on some website saying that buyers save average of 25 percent getting a foreclosed house, interesting. Some other states save more, some less.

What happened to your previous claim that economic problems are the result of decisions by the previous administration? In this case, the "previous adminsitration" would be Bush. And the adminsitration prior to that would be his daddy.

Can't have it both ways. If the state of the economy is the result of the previous adminsitration, then it still goes straight back to Bush.

I didn't read everything yet--just this post. What about Clinton? He's between G. H. Bush and G. W. Bush. Clinton was in office 8 years in btwn. So a lot of polices were from a Democratic Admin.

And the latest post I put on this thread is just that from another forum. Not my words.

:dunno:I have no idea what Mr. Bernake knows. He's just doing his job, having replaced Alan Greenspan. I haven't read the business pages in a while, being so wrapped around my family, two businesses and trying to keep the house clean. Sorry.

I still stand by my first post and still not looking for any arguments. My .02. Oh by the way, I doubt the taxpayers will bail the whole mortgage crisis. Just like 400,000 homeowners according to a set of guidelines in the legislation that passed.....? Everyone else---:dunno:

I am amazed how much energy people are trying to make republican president look bad.

When they try to not mention Bill Clinton. For fair stake of argument and debates. Please include ALL time frame presidency that has contribute to what happen in America.

Ronald Reagan appointed Alan Greenspan to do federal rates and monitor the economy. Ironic - Ronald Reagan was Democrat but swing over to Republican. I am not sure when exactly he switched side.

Also the decline of market began 4th quarter of 2000. That was end of Bill Clinton administration. Then entered Bush administration. Bush had tough assignment with stock market falling and 9-11 World Trade center. No wonder Bush want to get out now and lead quiet life again.

I am trying to remain neutral perceptive of what the BIG picture of economy. I am looking at Greenspan's resign in 2006 and Berekes (spelling) took over to clean up Greenspan's mess of federal rate cuts.

There are too many factors that rest on the presidency and its administration. They share some burden but its not entirely their fault. Maybe you haven't noticed, I have not attacked Clinton's administration.

I am still unhappy with Clinton's affair. Tragic! Same with John Edward - another tragedy! Too much of our tax money went to Clinton's Ken Starr salary! I still applaud to Clinton, Bush and all presidents to be able to endure the burden of being president of USA. Its a tough job.

I think we should try imagine being in their shoe and know what is truly happening in America. Media only show bias of what they think is important. Bush and any president know much more than what Media knows.

We will need to wait 50 years before all classified file become de-classifed then we can really discuss what really happen during Bush administration.

By then, we'll be dead!

and we'll know who assassinated JFK too

and we'll know who assassinated JFK too

Oh, I wanna know.

I have a hunch who might be responsible. I asked the son-in-law of the men involved, and guess what? He totally clammed up. He won't tell me. And, he is one of my best friends. Yet, he won't tell me. No one truly knows except the ones responsible in Washington and at the plaza. Truth has a way of coming out eventually. So we'll find out sooner or later.

FYI - JFK's assassination is already revealed by de-classified because the entire family of JFK deceased as when young John died in plane crash few years ago. The sniper was so good that he pulled trigger twice for two bullet. No other snipers involved. I am not sure how we can find those de-classified files.

That how they de-classified files, by wait 50 years or all people in the report deceased.
