HOLY SMOKES giant baby is born at 14lbs!

Ohh finally I knew someone would ever beat my pounds when I was born! My pounds was 11 lbs 20 oz when I was born. I was the heaviest baby in whole of Portland, Oregon city in that year I was born, and never see any babies that born have more pounds than mine during my lifetime. But oddly, today I am very thin and kinda short guy, only pounds at 130.

What a huge baby boy! So cute! My son was almost 10 lbs when he was born. :) Just by 3 ounces off. 9 lbs 13 oz! He is still biggest baby in the family...no one had beat him yet! :lol: He wasn't in the newborn clothes very long...boom go to larger size. His daddy and I was only 6 lbs when we were born.
 
often when babies are born to this large of weight it is due to mother having blood sugar problems near end of pregnancy. Allthough there are exceptions to the rule.
 
Right. But not always...look at me..I had almost 10 lbs baby boy...I didn't have a sugar problem. My baby just happened to a big boy. :) I guess it is depend on genes? :dunno:

Well I became the heavist baby because my mom quit smoking when she found out that she was pregnant, but when quit smoking and plus pregnant cause hunger increase so my mom eat LOT cause me eat lot during I was in her womb. That is why I was heavy baby, but no blood sugar problem..
 
As a mother who has delivered before..all I can say is ..OOOOUCCCCCHH!!!! It was painful enough with 7lbs and 8 lbs babies but 14 lbs...oooh I cant imagine how sore she must be afterwards. Glad that they are doing well.
 
I agree its sometimes to do with the mother's diabetes or if they are big and tall in proportion that's possible.. I know a girl she was 5' 11" had a 14 lbs baby due to her diabetes and height .. The baby looks like a toddler coming out via CS... Also, should look at how many lbs both the mother and father at birth...

This baby is bigger THAN my niece. She is almost 5 months old.
 
Wow! big baby! indeed! but glad to hear that the mother and the baby both are ok.. :)
