Any of you ladies have ever had one? What was your experience? Liked or disliked? I'm thinking about getting one.

Yep...got one last month, verrrry short. Too short for my taste, tho'...but the left side of my head was shaved twice (due to surgery)...so I went for the pixie cut so my hair would grow out even.....

My hair does grow pretty fast tho'...and the pixie cut is so easy to care for.

After viewing the story and the pix...my hair is similar...easy/breezy to care for, and I don't even have to blow-dry, just towel dry and pick at it with my fingers....

At first, I was a little shocked...and thought perhaps I looked like a "dyke" (no pun intended here to anyone!)...as I've a very strong face...but wearing ear rings and some blush and lip gloss...it seemed to work just great...

So...so long to the curling irons/hot curlers, etc. for awhile!...And I even might keep it this way by getting it trimmed often.

So Lady, take the plunge...you might or might not like it, but it will always grow out.

Down thru the years I've had many versions of pixie cuts. I modify the cut to fit the decade.

I have a modified pixie cut now. People tell me it's cute. It's very easy to take care of. If I want a fancier look, I use gel products and the blow dryer, and make it more pointy. I keep it wispy, not blunt, around the edges for a softer look.

Sounds good, Reba....I don't use gel because my hair is oily...and I also had it cut in layers so I wouldn't have a "flat" look....Just sort of "puff it up" with my fingers and hand...And seriously thinking of putting a strawberry blonde color on it soon...blue eyes do stand out more with that color.

reba, would you show pics of your hair (or maybe a random pic off google) of example of your hairstyle?

See thats another reason why I want a pixie, you can do all kinds of things, some say your limited but really your not you can get creative with it :)

Yes, those are cute. :) I like the top one (hairstylesvillage) better.

Just remember to consider your face shape, and the texture and wave of your hair to modify it just right.

Mine is similar to the top one except shorter bangs. I try to keep my hair from covering my eyebrows. Of course, my hair is salt & pepper, with white bangs, so that looks different, too. :giggle:

I like that length. To dress it up for special occasions it's still long enough to put a sparkly little barrette on the side.

True pixies are shorter but like I posted, they can be modified to whatever suits you. Some are almost shags or emo styles. Usually the hair is straight.

I've been told I have a round face, but I've also been told I'm diamond face and when I look in the mirror, its hard to judge.

Yes I like the first pic too that was the one I was mainly going for :) I've pulled the look off before but I was younger then (like 12 lol)

My hair is thin, blonde, straight/wavy, but I also know cutting it will give it the illusion that it has volume and if I want to tone it down I can use products (my first short haircut I did for myself was a very poorly done A line, which didn't suit me at all) to tame it out if I wanted to. Mainly I want to have fun with it!

thought perhaps I looked like a "dyke" (no pun intended here to anyone!)

That's why I've never done the hair style. I just don't like manish hair cuts. Some people pull it off well, but I've never liked really short hair styles for myself. I wear mine shoulder length and that's about as short as I'm willing to go.

See above the neck length (more like the first pic I showed) is what I'm comfortable with so far. Next week I will finally get it chopped! Very nervous but excited!

I like Snow's hair from Once Upon A Time, it looks cute on her.

On me it would look awful, I would look like a boy...or rather like Celine Dion when she cut hers short (years ago)....I have a "long" oval face like her. She is beautiful with her long hair though...I can see why she cut it short...it's nice to have an easy go do when you just had a baby.

I have very long hair, it reaches half way down my back...the shortest I like my is just below my shoulders anything else doesn't look that great on me.

You will have to show us your new hair cut when you get it...do a before and after!!! :D

No matter what happens, remember this:

Hair grows back.
