I was reading in people and online that hip hop artist woke up one morning to find herself totally deaf no hearing at all due to a rare condition that affects 1 in 10 thousand ppl ...anyone know if there's any truth to this ??
 
I was informed during a hearing protection lecture that the safe exposure limit to an AC/DC concert was 14 seconds.......
 
anyone know if she had surgery to correct it and if she can hear again? hmm.. i noticed it is 2005 when this was last posted so im curious.. if anyone doesnt know then guess will have to google it up and see... :)
 
hmm could it be a CI and she's not telling??
 
No on the CI -- it takes weeks to get the CI surgery, then weeks to get the device activated after healing, then impossible to hide it. So, no.

I doubt there was any surgery involved - you can lose your hearing temporarily.
