Hiker falls to his death inside of active volcano crater

I'm thinking of those with strap ons....

bombs that is.

Quibbling again?

Hey, my cousin, Major Gregory Stone, was murdered by a guy in full military gear with rifle and grenades in Kuwait.

Is it any difference from a Japanese soldier doing a banzai assault against a tank with explosives, knowing full well he will be killed in the blast?

Is it any different from a Buddhist lighting themselves on fire in protest of the Vietnam War?

People with suicidal intentions don't enjoy dying or death. They enjoy the thoughts of the aftermath of their actions-- be it peace in Indochina, be it that the Japanese Empire remains supreme, or that their faction will take a foothold in their part of the Middle East.

It fits the definition. The U.S. military agrees.

which was why your cousin and the other fallen soldiers didn't receive Purple Heart. My deepest condolence.

My cousin did not receive his Purple Heart at his funeral.

Why did you bring that up anyway, the Purple Heart thing?

My cousin did receive his Purple Heart at his funeral.

oh that's good to hear. I supposed the circumstance had changed. From what I read before - it was an acts of criminal. Well if it's a murder in criminal sense... your cousin wouldn't receive a Purple Heart.

So since he received his Purple Heart... that means he was killed, not murdered.

Military Order of the Purple Heart
The Purple Heart is awarded to members of the armed forces of the U.S. who are wounded by an instrument of war in the hands of the enemy and posthumously to the next of kin in the name of those who are killed in action or die of wounds received in action. It is specifically a combat decoration.

and later added as part of Executive Order 11016 -
After 28 March 1973, as a result of an international terrorist attack against the United States or a foreign nation friendly to the United States, recognized as such an attack by the Secretary of the Army, or jointly by the Secretaries of the separate armed Services concerned if persons from more than one service are wounded in the attack.

Why did you bring that up anyway, the Purple Heart thing?

because I was quite aware of it. It was in news. and this also explains your intensive fixation on Islamic-related activity..... something that I think you need to get it resolved with by seeing a professional.

Just saying.

[forgot to post this earlier]

sorry to hear about your cousin. It's a shame that he was murdered by his own comrade. I read about it while back.

but for clarification purpose - the one with strap-on bombs... was that one a civilian and terrorist?

and are you not concerned about the civilian with full military gear and automatic assault weapon in this American soil?
