Hi everyone!

I've been dealing with undiagnosed mild hearing loss for most of my life. Only recently have I started pushing my ENT to tell me what's going on. Apparently previous docs have ignored everything beyond the conductive loss when my PE tubes are clogged or have fallen out.

So I feel like I'm in some in between world right now. I'm not deaf, I'm not completely hearing although I've been considered as such, and live in a completely hearing world. I guess I'm hard of hearing, but I think I can hear too well to use that label.

Either way, I'm beginning to learn asl on my own. There are no local classes that I can take. I'm also looking into hearing aids.

I look forward to getting to know some of you as I find my place.
