I thought you're loved McDonald......
Nope, it's Wendy's I used to work McDonald's till they changed the way we cook and assembly the sandwich.
Current method (started in 91)
1)get frozen patties
2)set up on grill and sear to cooked
3)remove them from grill
4)store them in steamer container for set amount time
5)upon order, get cooked patty from steamer and assembly a specific sandwich like cheeseburger or whatever
6)wrap the sandwich
7)place in microwave and nuke for set amount of time
8)served.
***Buns were already toasted and kept hot in steamer***
Traditional method (less soggy)
1)get frozen patties
2)set up on grill and sear to cooked
2a)while searing, toast buns and dress them with condiments
3)remove them from grill
4)place patties on prepared buns
5)wrap sandwiches
6)served
so which is piping hot and not soggy and retain shapes?
I would say traditional method serve piping fresh cooked meat and buns not soggy or squashed but crisp and thick in proper shape.
so I switch to Wendy's or Carl's (Hardee's in other states) I also like Arby's They don't nuke sandwiches
The reason for change is to speed up and let customer have the food quickly. That's nice but they need to hire more people to keep up with demands but at the same time serve higher quality than use steamer and nuker to feed the hordes faster but low quality and soggy.
but that's your choices eh..
if my friends all wanted mcdonald and not me. then I'll go there but I will give special request to bypass the steamers part and do the traditional method so I can enjoy it like I did before.
