Her computer at work got hacked this morning.

I missed posting message last week cuz of my laptop issue.
my system was hacked 7 years ago and my wife was up late at night, she said she saw pointer moved on its own. She contacted me through SK2 about the situation. I told her unplug Ethernet jack NOW!! When I got home and I checked through the system and it looked fine. But for safety meausre, I just reformat and reinstall Win2K. Few days later, same thing happened. I realized that I don't have firewall up and running so I decide to install Antivirus and firewall. Finally the problem stopped.
Today, Trojans, Virus and Malware can infiltrate weak firewall and antivirus program.
My question about couple who had their system hacked, Did they have up to date Antivirus and Firewall up to date (windows firewall). Or getting Internet Security Suite that block trojans, keylogger, ect.
Tell your friend that next time when they see pointer moving and program opens and closed on its own, Just unplug ethernet or disable wireless adapter if laptop have button for it. Another option is to unplug the ethernet jack from cable or dsl modem. It must be done quickly as soon as you see it.
Reminder that hackers can copy and paste personal file as fast as they can on their system using "print Screen" key then paste it on word processor or photoshop program. That's scary cuz they're stealing client's personal informaton.
I would never leave client's file in any connected system. I would use stand alone system or store it in USB flashdrive and take it out when not using it. So hackers can't find any personal info and eventually give up or drop in virus to ruin your system. That's the safeguard.
