Ok here it is. I brought my truck back in April 2003. I have been running a problem with it for over 2 1/2 yrs so far. It is in the shop now and will cost me almost $400 to get it repair. So far I have put at least $5,000 into it for repair.

So now I have tried to report BBB *better business bureau* to file complaint of the dealer that I brought the truck from. But it was opt-out. Meaning that that the dealer opt-out so no one can file complaint about them. So they are still running their business and will rip off with more ppl. I wanted to stop them.

I have stopped one dealer back in 1997. So I am gotta do it again if I have to.

Where else can I go get some help without $$$.

Thanks you for your time. If you have any question and go ahead ask away.

Maybe u can try find another people that buys car from that dealership and have same problem as you do then maybe obtain legal aid lawyer. Thats the only thought i have right now :)

GO and see the dealership where you got the truck. If they are no longer in business, you will have to file some kind of papers to fill out for legal aids or other lawyers for free consultations, that will help you to fight to get them pay you back, cause they sold problem truck to you.

I think the papers can be found in DMV office, and the lawyer's office and the courthouse office. Not sure.. :dunno:

I had the same familiar problem as yours Pommie, Couple years ago, I brought a Honda civil from a small dealership, My engine blew up within 2 months, I found out the oil was in the radiator which not supposed to be there. I filed a complaint and the owner of the company told me that I purchase the vehicle as it is, and they are not responsible for any repairs or damaged done by vehicle. I was upset because 3,000.00 had gone wasted within 2 months. I felt that I was ripped off because I'm a female and he thinks I wouldn't recovered the oil in the radiator. Next time I purshase a car, I'm taking a man with me.

Pommie, If you want to buy another car, Take a guy who is well known about cars, so that your money would be worth spend. :thumb:

I do agreed with you Cheri...Take a guy who know a lot about cars and get a right car to use for long time.

Pommie,

I was in somewhat of a similar situation not too long ago. I had a car towed, and the towing company kept hanging up on me because I was using relay. Because I couldn't reach them, they were charging me about $30 per day to keep the car in their lot.

When I finally got through, I owed well over $700 for a $100 towing. Fuming, I asked to speak to the manager. I told the manager of the situation and his comment was, "You are a valuable, nice customer. I'll give you a deal. I'll take three days off the bill." I continued to make my case, he continued to repeat what he said (obviously the sign of an experienced negotiatior). So I told him I'd talk to him again in an hour. Then I thought about it and came up wit ha plan.

I called him again and asked him if he would be willing to change the price because obviously this was his firm's fault. He refused to budge, so I told him in my most stern, affirmative voice possible what I was going to do about what I considered his very insulting and discriminatory action:

1. Pursue all legal recourse
2. File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau
3. Write a negative press release to every major news and media outlet in the greater King County area (where I lived then), detailing unethical business practices. I also had a friend who worked at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer who would have definitely gotten that published.
4. Alert major deaf and disability organizations about the discriminatory behavior of his firm and encourage them to consider any relevant action, such as issuing alerts in their newsletter, etc.

The very next question the manager asked me was, "Okay, how much do you want to pay for it?" I told him I'd pay for the towing and the one or two days it took me to find out who towed my car. He agreed faster than Reggie Bush can run the forty yard dash.

You might want to think about those and other options. Hope that helps!

If they are running the shop with so much of one expired license.

They can be in a world of sh*t with legal problems and the judge would not be too happy. It pisses me off because most of the car repair shops are honest, ethical and fair and try to give you the best price for the repairs. They also have to make a living too

But when they rip off people then they stop making a living for themselves.

:aw: Aww, hang in there.. I have always go to dealership and brought me a car, a brand new one. I have not brought a used one. I have always buy a brand new car with only 20 miles on it.

I remember first car I brought, I brought my dad with me when I first brought my brand new car with only 10 miles on it, and had for 5 years, and traded in to a new bigger SUV with 25miles on it with my husband almost 4 years ago and still have it.

I don't know about used cars or trucks, I heard sometime it doesn't last longer and it break easy after purchasing a old and used car. I have never brought a used car...

It will be a good idea to bring a person who know more about cars or trucks, like your dad or some guy you know more about cars and then discuss with you before buying a car or truck. The guys in dealership likes to play with women alone and make them buy some crappy car before telling them how bad the cars are. They were trying to get rid of the junk car. Got to be careful with the dealership people, they can rip you or other people off for some reason. Like you ask, how is the car? and dealership said, oh, that car is nice, no problem and reasonable, I'll sell for 2,500 for that, in their mind, "please buy this car, please", and you brought that car, and after couple of month, the car break down, you can't take it back, you blew 2,500 for that car, and no warrantly on that.

It's better to bring a guy who knows about cars and everything with you.
