Help with VP!!!

Yup that is correct, Sorenson and DLink have their own server that list your IP address with your phone number that you created. These two seperate server can NOT read each other and have NO damn idea whats going on with each other. So, if you have sorenson VP then you want to call somebody that is using Dlink VP then you MUST use that person's public IP address. Always ask for "Public address" if that person gives you 192.168.0.125 then you know it is WRONG ip address and not what your looking for.

I suspect that you have a Sorenson VP-100 and GalaxyAngel has a D-Link DVC-1000 i2eye videophone. They can't call each other using phone numbers.

Technically he is correct that hearies shouldn't get free VP. It is not really strictly enforceable because those providers who gives away free VP gets FCC grants to cover the cost. That is why those Sorenson, and other provider does not really enfocing the rules set forth by FCC. Also, hearies can get free VP if their dependents are deaf, that is why it is even more difficult to enforce on this rule set forth by FCC.
I wouldn't lose my sleep over this if I were you.

Let me put this way, these phone number used with VP does NOT have anything to do with phone company nor real phone system The purpose of using "Phone number" is that it is easier for somebody to remember instead of IP address, and they aren't easy to remember and they *DO* change sometimes. You can create any phone number as you like, the sorenson or Dlink server does not care what number, even area code too you want to use. But there is one condition, and that is what? You can't have same phone number if somebody else already have that number. You can make up area code to confuse anyone. LOL so don't assume this jerk to be in same state as your in!!! He or she might fool you into thinking he or she is in same area...
You can change the number as many times as you like, but the only trouble you would have is that your friends and associate will have trouble gettin in touch with you. Those Sorenson people and Dlink wouldn't care at all!

Yea he tried to fooled me but I already look up the number and knowing that was his home phone number. So now I dont care for it anymore cuz I havent been bother by him anymore. :applause:
