Hi i'm corri i'm new here.
I've recently started taking
ASL classes and im having to write a paper
on one aspect person organization or anything
else about deaf culture. Does anyone
have any ideas?
anything will help :] thank you!

You should be able to check this book out at your library. This is, in my opinion, The BEST place to start. The Week the World Heard Gallaudet

Also, D-PAN would be cool to do, because it's relatively new and unheard of. It'd be a great way to get the word out. www.dpan.com

I looked at the site, looks like a good one for hard-headed deafs to look at!

By the way, that's quite a signature you've got there! <><
 
Something to help....hope it does.

World federation of the Deaf

Deaf Society ie clubs, gatherings

Pick hearing associations aswell, and compare them with Deaf associations.

They are looking at linguistic, political, audiological and social aspects of Deaf associations, and how, what,why,when they are in the core of the 4 avenues. core being their/there attitudes d or D for Deaf.

Although i am from NZ, we have adopted some aspects of ASL theory.

I absolutely love D-PAN! I forgot where I heard about it.

Thanks. My sister put it on there as a joke. I'm Jewish. I've just been too lazy to change it. =)
