Help me something.. when flyfree and i drive some place and we notice the flag is in the middle we puzzled.. somebody died? so do you guys have any idea.. we been looking around the news and nothing important???

got any ideas?
 
i've been in same shoe as you guys have been... many times i seen half-staff flags.. and i have no clue why.. never saw on news.. i asked couple of people.. they have no clue either.. i think this is just pathic!
 
Flags at half-staff

It could be in memory of London bombing that was a week ago. Europe and London in particular are having two minutes of silence for those killed or hurt last week.
 
If you see Flag that wave in half-staff, it mean they lower the flag in honor from the blast in England, or one of the government in your state might have passed away or the people in your state have died from Iraq fighting. It has reason to lower the flag.

Like for example, do you remember Ronald Reagan's death, the whole US lower the flag down in honor of the death of Ronald Reagan. I am sure you will see on September 11, the WHOLE US flag will lower to mark the honor of Sept 11 attack.
 
yah i had it here as well, so yah its in honor of the london bombing, i had to call my uncle mick whos home is in london to make sure his family is alright and thier all alright they happen to be getting ready to leave the *flat* they call it when the bombings occurred it was a blessing in disguise for us BUT sad for those who died.
 
well if it about london.. London isn't the part of usa.. but maybe we do honor them?...
 
I'm just thinking it could be that the US's trying to put up an united front to show that we are paying our respect for the losses London experienced as internationally - some of the Allies nations showed their respects for everyone who died on 9/11.
