Are you Deaf, HoH or hearing? If you want to practice your Spanish, I'm available to help you! Love my language.
I didn't know Canada was doing its own sign language, it's pretty good, we have one here too, it's "lenguaje de señas peruano" (peruvian sign language) but our schools are really bad in that way, so we don't have the right education for Deaf people =/
.
I would not think of Quebec as Canada, although it is pretty big. I think I like "lenguaje de senas peruano" better than the Mexican "legua del sordos".
I am hearing. Normal hearing for my age, which is good considering I've worked around noise all my life.
Over the holidays I have more time to be here than normal, but it is also less predictable than normal. If we could work out a timetable that would fit in with both our normal schedules I think we could do some language trading. I'm far from the greatest signer in the world, but because of my love of linguistics I have some insights many better signers do not.
Did you know you can fingerspell easily in Spanish in ASL? Not sure about BSL because they have a two handed alphabet.
