Heatwave in the West

it hot on my side of uk today so i guess that summer started and finished today

Cool, we are in Riverside but will be travelling the PCH next Saturday for a few days and then to Oregon. So we should be a lot cooler on Hwy 1 than Interstate 5!!

At Riverside, CA during heatwave? I'll be dead than heat stroke..

I am.
We need rain by July 4th or everything will die and be dead yellow. Again. It's depressing looking at people's stock tanks (barely a puddle or almost gone) and lakes that are now just but stock ponds.
 
This has been all over the UK news. They say its only 3 degrees off the highest ever temperature ever!

Hope everyone is coping well with the heat and you don't get any blackouts as the news was stating.

UK news has already said an elderly man has died from the heat :/

All of my six siblings have had some form of skin cancer. My sister and brother both just had surgery for it. I have an appointment with the dermatologist in a few weeks for a check up. I was really bad about frying my skin every time we went boating.

Think about apply sunscreen before you go outside?

It is fun to go outside for sure. :cool2:

We took our trike up it from behind Los Angeles about 5-6 years ago but not this time......gonna head straight to Santa Barbara and go up from there.....in our car or our F150 Lariat Crew Cab.....

Right now, we don't think so as we will be more pressed for time to attend a wedding back here....
