Head transplant??!!!

I been joking with my doctors for years about getting a new head! My head been hit so many times when I was a child plus I been into 2 bad autos accidents and was knocked out cold.

Head transplant? Anyone "volunteering your own head"?

No chance of "changing your mind"-if unsuccessful!

People are getting face transplants now , that has to be weird waking up with a new face.

Russia has done with head transplant on ape to ape. It was pretty gross, it come alive with new mind, well function to eat, breath, etc. Honestly, we don't know what would happen to human when they're wake up.

Update: Oops, turn out, it's dog, not ape. My bad.. Here is the source

It was Robert J. White who head transplant on ape before. He from USA. I heard about that before.

But it was not easy that brain will die if no oxygen for 5-20 minutes (all depend on human)

It's not really a head transplant; it's a body transplanted to a head. We think of it as a head transplant because the head is the smaller part attached to a larger part (the body). However, all the sensations, memories, thoughts, personality, etc., belong to the head, not the body. Therefor, if, for example, Grummer's body would get a new head, Grummer would cease to exist. The person who "donated" the head in actuality would be getting a new body donation.

You wouldn't be aware of it. Your brain would be dead.

Well if they are able to do that then they should be able to help people with spinal injuries walk and get people out of wheelchairs.

i thought that too, but would be HIGHLY contentious!!!

Oh please, there's tons of stuff I'm sure that we are capable of that we just don't come out with or do because the government and companies make far too much money on the medications and treatments of illnesses. You mean to tell me that we can "prevent" all these types of cancers ect ect but we can't cure it? Bull.
