Hawaii makes me LOVE Texas more and more…

My family is stationed here in Hawaii and I really don't like this place. But two things I love to do is sign and ride my motorcycle. I am hearing and it is so hard to find people of the deaf community to converse with. I am relearning ASL but I really wish I had more deaf or HOH friends. I had a guy friend who was HOH when I was younger that taught me to sign but I haven't done it for quite some time. How do you make friends in the deaf community?

Well, not exactly. It's a nurse named Lilly, so I assume it's a girl.

Sexist of me, I know. There may be several male nurses named Lilly in the world.

Ocean all the time? That make me sick. I love vary from mountain to dessert to snow to forest to ocean to etc. etc.... Texas have everything. And CA...

I agree. I was in Kona for 2 weeks in May. Hawaii is a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. Even 2 weeks was a little long. Going to Maui this May

Spent time in Maui and Honolulu....was really wonderful, and the oceans were so "Blue"!.....loved the shopping too ....but there's no place like "home".

Hawaii have Mountains and forest! I am and will always be attracted to the water. It is so "me" Water is soothing, ocean, rivers, lakes and even the rain.

Me too. I would rather be in water than on land. I just don't care for the Hawaiian culture on a full time basis. Last year by the end of the trip I was like "If I hear Mahalo one more #%+* time......"

I can imagine. I guess that is why I fit right in living in FL.
