Back then, I had 1977 Toyota Corolla "rustbucket". I was planning on killing the car before throwing it to dump. I drove car without changing oil, oil filter, air filter and even sparkplugs. Every time when oil goes low, I pour in 1 quart of oil when it need. I have driven nearly 50,000 miles without change anything.
I finally sold the heap to my friend's brother for $50 buck. I was surprised that car won't die before I sold it to next sucker.
I remmy watching "Slick 50" commerical and they pour Slick 50 engine oil treatment and let it run for 15 min then drained out oil completely and removed oil pan and valve cover. Then they fired up the car and it runs 4 hours without oil in engine.
Anyone had that experience driving without any service on a car for many miles and it still runs?

I have a 2001 Ford ZX2 Escort and I sometimes change my oil almost every 10,000 miles. Since I bought the car new I used to be religious on the oil changes per the Ford owner's manual (change every 5,000 miles) After I paid off the car I got so busy with my life I didnt pay so much attention to the car's maintenance.
