Grr..why do i need proof for pager?

I got a new pager from AT&T and i love it but in order
to get one without voice, i had to send in a form from
my audiologist to prove that im deaf! crikey! but thats what
the representative from AT&T said that i had to do in order
to get discount and all. I got text messenger, email, camera,
and the little extras like weather, stuff like that.
Did you all have to do that? i mean did you have to get
your doctor or audiologist to prove that you are deaf?

yes... you know how people are these days... damn frauds... I did have to get form from audiologist to get disability discount for public transit.
 
yes, I was prove that I am deaf. I just sent it to AT&T NCCD. After that, they will switch from current plan to TAP plan. It takes 2 days or so.

That's reason because I don't like att, otherwise, they don't cover on Blackberry then I'm lucky to not fill out the form but Sprint don't require to fill out the form, you can get phone with unlimited data, SMS, tethering plan for just $30 or Verizon at higher price but less dead spot when compare to att.

I don't mind to pay $30 for unlimited data plus $5 for 200 SMS for BB under att.

Wise choce!! You get free Phone As Modem (PAM)!! If you have laptop, you can download "Sprintspeed" modem software for Blackberry. PM me if you need link to download the software.

Word of warning, Don't use BB as PAM to watch Youtube, Hulu video or any streaming video often due to 5GB broadband cap. Streaming video can eat up data quickly. You can use to check Web Email, Browse network, and more without streams with no worry because it's not much on BB's 5GB cap.. If you want to download file, be sure you download what you need the most. If you wish to download 500mb or 1gb file, just download on your home broadband on your laptop, not your Blackberry.

If your Blackberry become slow or locks up, just remove battery and put back in to do hard reboot. Over the time, BB internal memory sometime eat up internal memory making it go slow. It's not a big issue tho.

Well, Catty, the reason i chose AT&T is because of their
attractive offer of buying one and getting another free,
my best friend and i was wanting to get one so it is just
best for us. We sent in the the rebate form for that. We will
get $50.00 back from AT&T.
 
Well, I pay $50/month to Sprint for my Samsung Ace (data only). I'm about 1 1/2 years away before I get a better WM phone with a low-cost data plan.
 
Yes with AT & T you need to provide proof that you're deaf, because they offer a plan of discount for the deaf community. I'm not with AT&T anymore, I'm with T-Mobile. ;)

I'm Verizon user, use BB 8330 under Verizon.

I don't care about how Sprint does offers but I refuse to use Sprint due bad customer service and signal is very horrible in my area.

Strange, you said that cuz i just got a message from AT&T
that they got my rebate form and they are sending my
$$ in a few weeks!! yay! also im saving that message just
in case, they didnt honor it and i can say "hey i got your
message that you gonna send me the rebate money!"
