Good Free DVD Players for Mac?

Would anyone know of any good DVD players for Macintosh computers? The
one that came with my Mac Mini 2007 edition doesn't always show closed captioning.

I have the VLC player which is good but are there other ones out there?

Apple DVD Player does provide closed captioning.

Even when I select for CC,Mac's DVD Player doesn't necessarily show the captions.

When I put prerecorded DVD+RW discs into my Mac Mini and bring up the DVD Player app,the CCs usually will not show. With commercial movies,they will show. Said DVD+RW prerecorded discs were recorded on my Toshiba DVD/VCR machine.

With the VLC Player,CC will show all the time.

I wonder if there are other DVD players for Mac that will show CC. (?)
