Going to buy X-box for my kids

Here's what the old and new Xbox controllers look like. You'll notice that the old one has the black/white buttons on the top right of the 4-colored buttons. The new one has the black/white buttons on the bottom under the 4-colored buttons.

Notice how the handles on the bottom are shaped different? That's why they redesigned it because of the flaw with the old controller.

Believe it or not, I prefer the original controller. The S-Type Controllers were really designed for the Japanese folks due to their small hands. I have big hands, and I find that my hands are more comfortable using the original controllers of Xbox's. Just my preference, and it's a good thing they sell both types because not everybody will like the same designs.

I once owned a S-type controller for a couple months, but I exchanged it for the original controller. I just had to.

Yes, Controller S is the smaller version. I think the previous version was Controller J. I guess they became obsolute and are no longer on the market unless it's used. :dunno:

Actually, I just noticed that I'm unable to find any of the original controllers at any online stores.

I guess they really did stop making them, only I didn't notice it right away. But the next time I go to Wal-Mart or any local stores, I'll check to see if they actually stopped selling them.

Sometimes, big controllers are nice for me. However, it makes things a lot easier when I have smaller things... more control that way.

I perfer the controller s than the orginal controller because the buttons on the orginal were too close and the black and white buttons were alittle too far off so I guess I have small hands lol but I just like to play games with a controller that has buttons that are reachable and easier to use without having to look at it lol

controller s would be great for your kids, since they have small hands, though...

I just like controllers about the size of my hands...not twice the size of my hands lol just like the Playstation 2 controller, the gamecube controller and Xbox's controller s...they are very comfortable and smooth.

Here's the list of games that are priced $20 or lower

I love Soul Calibur II, Dead or alive 3, Spider-man, to name afew

but how old are your kids? it's important that u pick games depending on the rating...lol

I play alot of violent games like grand theft auto, tekken, mortal kombat, and some first person shooter games lol...so most of the games I play are rated T and M

when I look at games like this one

how can I tell which system it plays on???
That's Soul Calibur II... for Xbox. They released 3 versions for 3 consoles. You can tell by the special character in the game. For Playstation 2, the special character is Heihachi from Tekken 4. For Gamecube, the special character is Link from The Legend of Zelda. For Xbox, the special character is Spawn from Spawn.

Yep.

The Xbox version has the best graphics ever to be seen and of course, Spawn, which rarely never made a real good impression before, did make an awesome impression in Soul Calibur II...he's fast, he's lean, and is pretty skillful with his axe which was transformed from his cape...so he's proably the best fighter I've seen so far in this game.

The GC version was sold the most than the two other versions because of our well known famous videogame character, Link, from The Legend Of Zelda, so Link was actually the one who wins the most popularity in soul calibur II.
