Botti, so you would not go up in a ultralight? My husband - who in the last several years hasn't done well with heights in certain circumstances- didn't enjoy the ultralight cuz there was nothing UNDER you it wasn't enclosed, more like hang gliding w/some navigation controls- you're just looking down at the earth below your feet. The pilot has been previously been a hang glider and in the last several years had updated his skills to include two-person small ultralight. The pilot did some mild acrobatics w/me up there because I was having a great time.
What about hot air balloon <we've done that too - that was actually a anniversary gift from my late MIL> - that was great in a different way!
Do you like to fly at all?

Well, since you ask specifically, I am deaf, I am blind in my right eye, and I have terrible balance problems relating to my deafness.

Plus you can just have a quick look at my pictures and note that I am more than somewhat plump.

I will get on a large commercial plane if I really need to go somewhere and there isn't time to go a different way.

But with my mobility problems coupled with a healthy dose of cowardice, ultralights or hot air balloons are absolutely not in my future.

Wow.. talk about calling someone out!!!! That's a lot of unwanted attention towards one person....

oh, I wasn't calling anyone out - am confused now.
I put a different thread because I didn't want to hijack the other one that I thought Bott and I were kinda replying back and forth in a bit....
it wasn't meant to be critical, I just thought we were having a conversation about what we liked or didn't like?
I certainly wouldn't call myself athletic
:(

Im deaf and blind in one eye too its not gonna to stop me from gliding this xmas
