A 35 years old woman found out she had cancer all over her body last year in October... And she died this month.

I think people should have medical checkup every year....
There is a health clinic for poor people.

Accord Public Health Insurance law:

Checkup once a year to 30 years old...

Checkup twice a year from 30 years old...

Well, some people went to checkup regularly then few months later after checkup that they got cancer... The cancer comes unexpectly than you thought.

I'll need to go see dr for annual check up. I haven't done it yet. But annually pap smear is a must! I hated it but I have to take care of my health!

Mama2AFTIV,

I know that is painful for women, but men also need to have the doctor check their testicles, regardless if they do their own self-examination every month. My doctor showed me how to do it years ago and do it more than once per month, so I do encourage all the guys who are reading to get to their doctors and get checked out, as well as their prostrate. As mentioned, the doctor can show you (guys) how to check yourself every month, so get onto the band wagon and get your testes checked. Good post, by the way. :gpost:

I don't mind go to checkup but I prefer with woman, not man. Heh. I almost never sick, probably once a year. Last time I went, my health is still pretty good.

Agreed. Getting checkups doesn't guarantee anything. My maternal grandmother was getting her checkups every six months (due to her age and risk factors) and she was faithful to go to them. Still for all that, she had gotten ovarian cancer in between visits and was gone in six months (she died over 25 years ago).

Moral of story...life is a risk and no matter how careful you are, things can happen beyond your control.
