Glove Compartment

I also have a car organizer that hangs over the back of the seat. In that I keep two removable window shades, two walkie talkies, a ball cap, extra reading glasses and sunglasses, current reading material, a digital timer, safety goggles, and a dust mask. In the winter I also carry a blanket. Those are mostly work-related items.

I keep a lot of things in my car, but they are all organized. There is nothing messy or on the floor. I clean out "trash" every night.

My car is my portable "office". :) As a terp, I don't have a real office, so I have to live and work from my car. If I have an all-day job, sometimes I have an opportunity for a nap at lunchtime. I go to my car, put up the window shades, set my digital timer alarm, recline my seat, and take a nap.

....and blanket ? heh bec my finacee who is freelance interpreter usually sleeps with the blanket in her car during wintertime.

What supplies do you keep in your glove compartment in your vehicle?

I keep my emergency supply such as Band-Aid in case one of my children get hurt like fall down while running. I also keep wet-naps, other important papers for my vehicle and sometimes I keep a brush or comb in there in case they go swimming and need to comb their hair. :thumb:

Regristation, pen, note, insurance card, rubber band for my hair, sunglasses (in case if I forgot or lost), pad for female, hand sanitizer with aloe and hand lotion and new england map.

My glove box is very small because of the air bag. I can keep only the flashlight, paperwork, manual, and air gauge in there. I store most things in the center console. That is where I keep my phone recharger, emergency tool that smashes windows and cuts seatbelts, two can koozies, tapes and CDs, notepad and pens, coins, Chapstick, wipes, and tissues. We keep maps and umbrella in the door pockets.

:::writing this all down::: I like what you keep in your glove box, I think it time for me to clean out mine.... :giggle:

Updat:

I stated I had "In my glove comparment: Napkins, maps, maps, and more maps (I gotta have Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego County maps!), insurance, registration, light bulbs for my interior (Hey-- we are bunch of "doths"!), and um those tire gauge thingy.... I am so absent-minded with correct termiology especially when it comes to those gadgets!"

Now I got: female sanitary napkins (men: it means "pads"), napkins, maps, registrastion, pen, two hair ... thingies... it is plastic and you put it on your head to hold back your bangs and whatnot... women, help me out here with that word...! (Summer-- windows down: wind = hair all over my face), batteries, and some of my husband's stuff-- business cards by colleagues, et cetera. oy vey. My husband lives out of his car and now he is making my car his second home
