if flying cars land on my head and it means that i have to died and time for me to go. So not wearing helmet. Dont matter in USA or not. Besides i did see flying car once. LMAO
 
looks like its possibly my turn next to buy another car. My ZX2 is threatening to blow her clutch out so I parked it cuz I dont want to be stranded like what my Ranger did with her clutch. At least it took me only 154,000 miles to blow the clutch compared to 80,000 for the Ranger.

Hope I find a better 4 DOOR car cuz I hate the thought of wrenching my back putting my daughter in the backseat of the 2 door ZX2. I would have taken a chance, but with the economy souring and Im afraid I might lose my job that I have held for almost 13 years.

So it seems I cant afford anything more than what the ZX2 is worth. So its time to look at the craigslist cuz I can find much good deals out there. One intriguing alternative I found in town happens to be a 1998 Olds Intrigue for only 2,000 and 109k miles. Not a bad deal if it aint sold from under my nose. Im seriously considering buying an Oldsmobile cuz they are much CHEAPER than Chevy or Pontiac cuz Olds been out since 2004. Parts? I aint so worried on the motor side cuz its GM, but the body parts is a big ?

I respectfully disagree that low mileage would cause a lot of problems... Look at new brand car with 00 mileage?

I experienced with over 17 years old cars with high mileage... awful a lot of repair... We replaced one year old corsa opel with very low km with 17 years old dead BMW... it was 12,000 km last year. We also replaced one year old mecrede-benz A150 with very low low 15,000 km with over 17 years old dead VW Golf last February 2008. We are very, very, very happy with our new cars due save energy and gasonline expense ...
 
highway mileage engine has less wear and tear than city mileage engine do. Same as transmission they produce more wear and tear shifting gears while highway stays on one gear.

My 1993 truck I got in 1998 was 103K miles from my dad and he drives long highway commute and long trips on highway. Today, it has 260k and no problems on engine or transmission ever since and I still drive on highway daily commute to work and few long trips.

So the mileage depends on how the engine is used, city or highway, the visual inspection for wear and tear and see the new parts that is replaced. The best way to do is check the car's history such as CARFAX used car VIN number search, auto history check, vehicle history reports and mechanic's inspection to make sure the car is worth your buy.
