vil any 1 plz help me to understand abt frequency transpositio?
my question is dat hw higher frequencies r broader than lower frequency region in linear transposition when same amount of hertz is shifted to dm?

This is a AllDeaf discussion board, not a repair website or the computer website. Are you hard of hearing, deaf or just plain hearing? We discuss about deafness and other topic relating to deafness and other topics relating to our lives.

As for wanting to know about transposition which you mentioned about high frequencies relating to hertz. I don't know nothing about that myself. Few of the ADers know how to work with these. So hang on and wait for their replies to come in otherwise it is the wrong website to ask that. :hmm:

He's talking about certain types of hearing aids that transpose sounds from the high frequency pitches into a lower frequency, into the range the person can hear.

I don't know much about that type of aid, but supposedly it's good for people with a h.f. loss who can still hear well (or at least better) in the lower frequencies.

 Sorry about that. I did not know what transposition is. Dang, if this is about this hearing aid technology which I never knew about with high frequencies or into low frequencies. :cool2:

That is what we need the topic to discuss about so that we can learn something new around here. **sigh**

:welcome: to AllDeaf forum, bushra majeed. Sorry for not understand what you are trying to say. Pardon me.

Have fun reading and posting all the threads here. See you around here.

My understanding is just as beach girl said, it takes sounds from that you cant hear and puts them in the range where they can be heard. My experance with it (its a feature on my naida up's) is that things will sound strange at first but after a while you will wonder how you lived without it
