If the world best doctor and plastic surgeon wants to give you free plastic surgery,
what would you want to have done on you?

I voted to keep this body as is. I'm against plastic surgery unless it's for a medical need such as reconstruction after cancer, or to fix a deformity from birth or other mishap.

Absolutely! I don't want to look tired and old. :D

Well, this Deaf guy is getting a ton of plastic surgery, apparently gratis. (I'm sure his current employer-supplied health care insurance covered some of the costs, such as medication.) Quite surprising, as I know the guy very well, and can only wish him the best on a successful outcome.

hmm. I wouldn't change anything. I used to seriously consider getting a breast lift, but I think the risks outweigh the good. there's too many things that can go wrong. I also believe that plastic surgery is the easy way out. we should embrace our differences and flaws, because they make us the way we are. it'd be a boring world if everyone had barbie/ken bodies.

my son had free plastic surgery done when he was a baby (to correct a birth defect) and I seriously had a hard time deciding if it was the best thing to do.

 Well, Reba. I disagreed with you quite vehemently once before (and actually as I recall, I was a bit ugly about it..I want to apologize for that...) I don't agree with plastic surgery, but I respect your right to want it. If you do decide to have something done at some pt, please make sure the surgeon knows what he's doing!

There are many charlatans out there. They don't really know what they are doing, and they cause serious harm. Do your research before you commit to any procedure. Check, and then, double check the credentials of your surgeon. Make sure you're in good hands!

I've heard horror stories that would make your toes curl, and I wouldn't want to see harm come to you (or anyone for that matter).

Don't worry, I'll never be able to afford it, unless the VA or Navy hospital offers it.

I really don't want too much. I would like to reduce my heavy upper eye lids and my deep laugh lines and "jowls". Maybe a little lipo under the chin. The rest I can manage with facials and the right products.

No Botox for me. I need my expressive eyebrows for interpreting. :D

I don't understand why some people need Botox.

I like people's expressions when they talk to me.

If they get botox, then their face will be expressionless and nothing special.

Blah.

Reba,

I did a little shopping for you so you would know how you'd want to look. Take a peek at these samples I chose . . . just for you, and let me know what you think, okay? :D

http://www.puppydogweb.com/gallery/bulldogs/bull_dunaway.jpg Notice no lines around the mouth gives a nice smile?

http://www.puppydogweb.com/gallery/bullmastiffs/bullmast_muay.jpg Those eyes and nose say it all, don't they? Kissable, too!

http://www.puppydogweb.com/gallery/neapolitanmastiff/neamas_hospodar.jpg Okay, I know what you're thinking . . . where's pek1 at, let me at him! In the end, you will thank me!

http://www.puppydogweb.com/gallery/oldenglishsheepdogs/oldengshe_kustudic.jpg This one is very fashionable, as no deaf person would miss what you're saying if they're paying attention, wouldn't you think? :D

http://www.puppydogweb.com/gallery/saintbernards/saint_forstner.jpg Guess what's in the small barrel? "Heath" crunch! Hey, how about that, we remembered Heath while he's away! :aw:

http://www.puppydogweb.com/gallery/akitas/akita_angela.jpg This one almost resembles Snickers, my hearing dog. You're "out cold" with the teddy bear, the heck with interpreting, huh?

http://www.puppydogweb.com/gallery/rottweilers/Rott_stayner.jpg You know, this may be the closest that you described to us (above). This would be your "before" picture, this would be your "after" picture: http://www.puppydogweb.com/gallery/rottweilers/rot_casa.jpg Notice that you had just misinterpreted "let us pray" in church for something a bit more, ahem, "suggestive?" :naughty:

Well, what do you think? Should I schedule your appointment?

There are medical uses for botox, but for comestic reasons, no. I agree with you.

The medical use for botox extends to helping people with cerebral palsy. The injected botox goes into the muscle and relaxes it, helping to reduce spasticity. It can aid in helping patients with walking and such.

I voted no. I don't want to change anything.

I do believe that some people who have certain things that they cannot improve via exercise, taking care of themselves, etc., then sometimes it can do wonders such s with droopy eyelids or undereye bags. I have seen a woman in Oprah who had really really really droopy boobs that were like deflated balloons that reached her waist. I have never seen boobs like that. I think in certain cases it could work really well to reduce. I only hate that they usually put silicone in which I don't like. I can't imagine being comfortable with boobs that you had to roll up in your bra. That's what Debra from Everybody Love Raymonds described it and had breast work. I thought she had a good reason. I think she had 5 kids. It's just hard to make people think what's really reasonable to do plastic surgery.

My problem with plastic surgery is that people expect perfection, so a lot of people today think breasts should look like this. Thighs should look like this. A certain bikini or bathing suit may not look good on you, but another one will. Not one bathing suit or outfit will look good on everyone, but there are many others that will.

My step mom had her tummy tucked. At first I thought it was silly for her to have it until she explained to me. She did everything to get rid of her extra fat in her abdominal. She had 3 kids herself. She have lost a lot of weight but her stomach is in the way. She did everything even going to personal trainer to get her stomach to be flat again.. then she gave up and decided to see a surgeon and ask him if he think she should have a tummy tuck or do she need to work more and harder and years? then the dr said she could work out as much as she could but her extra skin will be always there!! there are NO fat in it.. just simply extra skin from pregnancy. She decided to have her tummy tucked.. (basically just cut the extra skin off) not because she want to be perfect.. its jut bother her so much. it made her feel better with extra skin gone!

I watched Oprah or a similar show, and there was a woman on there that used to be extremely obese and then she lost all the weight, but she had so much extra skin from being extremely obese, that after she lost all the weight she basically looked like a Sharpei. She wanted surgery to cut off all the extra skin and tuck them in. If I recall correctly, the show paid for her surgery. I watched that episode a few months ago.
