I am looking for a free hosting site to upload my files to share for business use that provide password-protected?

I have searched for a good one and came across with

ADrive.com – 50GB of Free Online Storage & Backup
File Savr - Free File Hosting
Uploading.com - The best free file hosting service!
Free File Hosting - File Dropper: File Host for Mp3, Videos, Music, Documents.

I like adrive which also include cloud storage but I will like your options, suggestions.
Do you have a favorite? Is it free? The best, why? I trust you AD'ers on your options.
Let me give you a example...I use Vimeo rather than Youtube to upload my videos for business reason which come with password-protected. Take this for instance This is a password protected video on Vimeo.

Why not create the FTP server from your Ubuntu? It's free and save your time (don't need to upload on host anymore just save direct your computer)

It's for business use, I need a hosting site to share files for them to download.
 
FTP is better for business use and share. You can use FTP to monitor to someone who download file from your ftp. If someone you dont know then you can boot them out. It's more security than free host. Some free host can't remove the files off host. Some of them are expire limit.

It's up to you.

If you still want host file then you can use winzip or winrar software to set the password on the file.

Ok I will check it out. Does it require to monitor all the time?
 
download direct from FTP is much faster than download from website.

Highlander is correct.
 
Uguh...it's a hassle. I thought this was easy...I tried to configuration the FTP.
I did rather use a hosting site.

It's much easy for Windows and free

Neato! I should try that! :hmm:

I have several old systems. one is 600mhz, other is 800mhz and the fastest old one is 2Ghz (even it's 2Ghz Intel Celeron processor may be fast but it's the Elitegroup Ezbuddie motherboard which slow everything down cuz of cheap chipsets on board.) I would be able to turn it into file server! I do have only one working Wireless PCI crappy Belkin adapter.

I still have three of 450mhz mobo which is too old and slow for server :rofl: I planned to get rid of em or I could do this (remember my video :evil: :rofl2:
