Former Vietman POW passes away

Oh wow, that's sad. :(

It isn't fun to be POW during Vietnam War.

It's not fun to POW of any war.
I dated a guy that POW in Korean War. And the only thing that saved him was that he was Black and was given a little more food to eat. His best buddy said he was never the same when he got back home. When he dies about 4 years ago I brought a flag in his honor and it was in ' Field of Honor ' at park in my city.

Sadly....I've met many, many veterans of the Vietnam War....worked with a few also. It wasn't a pretty War...and living conditions in Vietnam were horrible, so filthy, no indoor plumbing, etc....I really can't fathom how their mental state survived it all...some of the stories the told seemed unbelievable.

RIP Jeremiah Denton

Quite interesting story. He is truly a hero.

RIP Admiral

RIP.

My uncle was a USAF pilot based in Thailand during the Vietnam War.

BTW, everyone, including the deaf, still have to register for the Selective Service system even though the draft ended in 1973. The financial aid form required it. so do applying for a federal government job.
