It is outrageous! The doctor had every opportunity to save a baby when it was live. It was a moral issue, not political or religious issue.

I read that this morning and I mulled on posting it or not. I decided not too because it was too disturbing.

You missed one small detail -
What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic's owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant's umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.

This is PRECISELY what would happen if abortion was abolished. We will see THOUSANDS of cases like this. This incident is unfortunate but gladly enough - he's caught and arrested.

It is another reason why I have found it outrageous.

It is no excuse for the state to let the illegal abortion clinics operate like this subconsciously. It is the starting of domino effects on their illegal activities.

Quite true, Jiro. We will hear of more and more cases such as this happening if abortion is ever again made illegal. These are the same circumstances that occurred constantly prior to Roe v Wade.

This doctor, and any clinic staff directly involved, should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
 
I say charge him with murder and abandonment of an infant. That surely would give him life in prison without parole.

and in this case - it also means IMPROPERLY performing the procedure. That's just... UNSPEAKABLE. :mad2:

Normally.... "botched" surgery/repair/etc. means it's just that shit went wrong (unintentionally) but I would NOT call this botched abortion. I call this DEPRAVED INDIFFERENCE. It's disgusting.

What this doctor performed isn't the matter of good or poor performance. What that sick twisted man performed was an ILLEGAL and UNETHICAL procedure.

The short answer: Stratified society. What scares me is the number of women that wish to set women's rights back 50 years.

The doctor not only did an illegal & unethical procedure and he also would perform them with antiquated & unrecognisable apparatus.

That's a barbaric performance to say it at least.

And, at the time of this occurrance, his license was already restricted. He was forbidden from performing any procedures without a supervising physician present.
