Heh. Me too but that's what and how puritanism culture teaches us. To other countries beside America, it is not sickening or 'gross', it is completely acceptable cultural thing. Heck, people in the Bible did that too...
 
you know in films like "gladitor" where the king is married to his sister...so yeah, there are alot of incest relationships in alot of films that involves anicent history and stuff like that you know? Most people thought that incest relationships would only happen in movies but nope...could happen in real life, as of today anyway... :ugh:

I haven't heard anything about adopted brother/sister marrying each other. I guess it is a very rare thing if they do marry each other, but it could feel funny knowing they grew up together in the same family who adopted them.

That's correct, people did marry their closest relatives in acient history (and yes, even today too in other countries. : P )
 
Hey that is not fair. You guys support gay marriage so you should not judge people who commit incest relationships.
I think gay marriage is grosser than incest marriage. If 2 people were the only people on the earth, and they are brother and sister, then if they have to multiply.... Then they have to have children.

So anyway, I support the cousins who love each other and wish to marry legally. That is okay with me. If they passes gay marriage then pass the incestous marriage....
Guess I marry my cousin, nah!!! We can just adopt children.

I can´t image to marry my cousin.

My school mate Liz, I grow up together in England. Her parents are first cousin and produced together a healthy daughter. But it has nothing do with deafness.
 
My grandparents are second cousins, they had two healthy daughters, which one of them is my mother. All my grandparent's grandchildren were born healthy. My deafness was caused by Spinal Menigitis, so it wasn't caused by my grandparents being 2nd cousins. In my opinion, I think it's fine for 2nd cousins to marry, but not first cousins. My husband is not my cousin or related to me by blood, in case you are wondering...smile
 
I cannot fathom having Levi as my son in law!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It feels too "incesty". Also I would be confused in how to handle my new role as MIL/Aunt!

On the other hand, cousin-cousin relationships were very common back in the old days. Everyone married their cousins...that's how a Deaf community got its beginnings on the Vineyard.
 
my hubby's family back in earlier generations did marry first and second cousins...nothing wrong with them. not like deafness or anything that looks deformed or etc.

one of generation married 1 st cousins. had 14 children. I know I thought eww disgusting but they practiced Quakerism. I am still learning in his family tree research.

I will give you experience from my grandmother's side family it was rare occasion that were discovered by my aunt's 2nd husband. My aunt married him after my aunt's first husband died (god may rest his soul). Her 2nd hubby have i think 3 daughters from other marriage which are already grown up. One of his daughter is married. We went to visit my grandmother's family reunion in east Texas. There were family generation list all way cross the room, and somehow my aunt's hubby just happen found out that his daughter married to a gentlemen that is also from my grandmother's family side which is really a surprise. Now you see sometimes you may marry someone who come from one of your family side even if both of you dont know about it. I would not blame them for that but if marry on purpose that is the different case.

I would not marry any of my family member even if it a step family. I dont force anyone who want go for it. That is their choice and they can risk it for their own decisions.

Just like old saying "everyone has brother's/sister's blood among us"
 
Let me tell you about my boyfriends crazy :booty: sister. Her aunt moved up here from Fl around June of last year. J as we'll call her is 21 the cousin L is 17. They start sleeping with each other and dating. Everyone is disgusted and tells her how wrong it is. They dont care. She was supposed to grad. in May but she dropped out of college to be up his tail. A lil later he breaks up with her because shes nuts and starts seeing the town hoochie who is 28. So J takes off because she is all upset and crushed. When she gets about 250 miles from home she tries to call L. L wont get on the phone with her so she decides to try to speed home to see him. She drove the car off into a ditch. Her mom and dad go to get her. Does anyone kick her a** for acting stupid? No they all just play the game because now she is threatening to kill herself if she cannot have L. So she takes a lil vacation in the nut house for 96 hours. She tells them that its all a lie so they let her out. Then the town hoochie says that her and J can share L. So she moves in with them and starts doing the orgy thing. Now L decides to break it off again. So she gives herself a homemade tattoo on her wrist that says Psycho Drama. I try to explain to her she is a pretty girl and needs to find someone but she wont listen. Now she stalks him. Her parents need to kick her butt. But I guess her dad really cant say anything because he is sleeping with L's mom which is his wifes sister. They are all flipping nuts. :crazy:

I think the L's family are nuts...
They the one allowing J and J's dad sleeping with them.

J and J's Dad were normal before they move to Florida, LOL!!!!

True, but the majority of non cousin incest (which I don't really think of as incest) is due to pyschlogically messed up people. NO BODY who is pschocologically healthy would think about having sex with their closest relatives!
 
A classmate of mine's cousin fell in love with her cousin by marriage on father's side, she went on and married him and had 2 kids.
