For the first time there might be peace in the middle east between israel and P.L.O Heres an oppitunity for george bush to get Abbas and sharon in camp david.Remember it was the republican party who ended the cold war by dismantling the soviet union and ended comminusim there. Meanwhile the democrats couldnt figure out the soviets all these years.And democrats couldnt even get the job done by solving israel and arafat problems. From carter to clinton even they couldnt even get the job done by getting israel and arafat to an agreement. Now maybe theres a change finaly peace between israel and the P.L.O Bush better seek an oppitunity to get sharon and Abbas in the US and sign an historic peace agreement perhaps a road to a palenstine state. And this man will be guranteed to be our next president in 2008!

It is not because of Bush. It is because Arafat died and Abbas took over.

Bush doesnt get credit for this. You forgot how Carter and Clinton really helped in other areas, maybe not in Israeli -Palestinian relations but in other countries too. It was Arafat who resisted. Now Abbas is eager to mend relations.

A 78-year-old mixed race woman in the US is claiming she is the love child of controversial senator Strom Thurmond, who died this year aged 100.

Retired schoolteacher Essie Mae Washington-Williams said her mother was a black maid working for the Thurmond family in South Carolina in the 1920s.

Giordano Receives 37-Year Prison Sentence
Giordano Could Have Faced Life In Prison

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- Philip Giordano, the former Waterbury mayor convicted of violating the civil rights of two girls he sexually abused, has been sentenced Friday morning.

Giordano, who pleaded not guilty, was sentenced to 37 years in prison.

Giordano's sister and mother attended the sentencing. His wife was not present.

"This case is the worst I have ever seen," said U.S. District Judge Alan Nevas in passing sentence. "Your conduct is the worst I have ever seen. I've seen drug dealers, murderers. What you did is indescribable."

Giordano also was convicted in March of conspiring with a prostitute, who is the mother of one of the girls and an aunt of the other. Jurors convicted him on 14 of 15 counts of using an interstate device -- a cell phone -- to arrange the meetings with the girls.

Richard A. Delgaudio, (pictured, right), of Burke, Va., who is a nationally-known Republican party fund-raiser, faced a Baltimore judge Wednesday afternoon on child porn charges.

Delgaudio -- who pleaded guilty in February -- faced charges for producing child pornography after paying two teenage girls to pose for sexual photos in a Baltimore hotel.

Prosecutors explained why Delgaudio received probation.

"Some could say he got off easy but Delgaudio got probation before a judgment because ... he owned up to what he did wrong," prosecutor Adam Rosenberg said.

Man Charged With Molesting Adopted Child

ANDERSON [Indiana] - An Anderson man who gained statewide attention by fighting attempts by a gay couple to adopt an 8-year-old girl under his foster care now is charged with molesting her.

Earl "Butch" Kimmerling, a 51-year-old school bus driver who adopted the girl with his wife, confessed in a videotaped interview to molesting the child, according to Anderson police.

Kimmerling battled a gay couple from Indianapolis when they tried to adopt the girl last year. He and his wife, Sandi, gained support in their fight from religious and political leaders in Anderson and across Indiana.

But Kimmerling now faces four counts of felony child molestation, according to court records. Accounts Kimmerling and his daughter gave police were consistent, Anderson police spokesman Mitch Carroll said.

He was released from the Madison County Detention Center on a $35,000 bond Friday evening and will be arraigned this morning. If convicted, he faces between 20 and 116 years in prison.

Sandi Kimmerling refused to comment and her husband was unavailable Friday night. She filed charges with Anderson police on May 11, Anderson police investigator Dale Koons said.

No use discussing this with you, Raven because most of your "facts" are your own personal opinions - not genuine facts. 9-11 has NOTHING to do with this thawing between Israel-Palestine relations. I dont see why you felt you had to put Gore into this. Not everything is intimately connected. Timing plays a key and new people or administration often change things such as Abbas. Abbas is not Arafat who resisted all these years.
