feedback on how to catch --

a kitty that looks to be around 6 to 8 week old and is a feral kitty -- its SOOO adorable!!! blue eyes, white fur -- i have left a small plate of food for the kitty (and praying that my own 2 cats or the other cat that comes around OFTEN that i call "socks" doesnt pig out on it before the kitty could eat) -- id like to try and catch it so i can clean it up a bit and hopefully find it a good home thru the no kill shelter before winter sets in here plus im afraid for the kitty's safety with other wild animals roaming around :(

seems that this house is a magnet for cats LOL since they come around meowing all the time looking for my babies and want them to go outside
 
Wow. You have a newest cat guest at your home. Since it might be a stray cat.. I don't know if it is willing to come up to you. Try to wait and see if the kitty is brave enough to come to you in person. Wow.. you must be popular with kittens and cats!!
 
:rofl: tell me abt that Oddball LOL -- yea im trying to coax the kitty into being a bit more friendly with me as im friendly with all the cats!!!! saw it TODAY so im gonna give the kitty a lil time to get used to me and my voice and maybe Sweetie might coax the kitty into not being so scared -- see if Sweetie accomplishes this LOL
 
whip out a can of tuna not those cat food tunas... the PEOPLES FOOD tuna.... i'm pretty sure the kitty wouldn't care about anything else but the tuna :)
 
uhmm i might do just that and see if the kitty would be more accepting of me and lets me clean it up
 
got some tuna on a small plate -- now its a wait n see game -- i put it where i had seen the kitty hiding and hopefully it stays warm tonite -- such a cute lil furball!
 
i caught my kitten using an armadillo trap because we were going to tear down the barn, and we knew there were cats in there, so we trapped a lot, let the big ones go, and kept the kittens.
 
the kitty has eaten the tuna like u suggested Cricket -- and its somewhere outside have no clue where it is now

Lilred -- what is the armadillo trap qq i dont believe ive heard of that trap thingie

Jamie.. Sometime I am going to bring a backpack or something, and put smokey in it, and take him home. He's fucking cute! I mean FUCKING cute! Everyone think so? :D

LOL both Pinkster and TinyStrawberry haha -- YES Jamie does have a VERY bootiful kitty!!!!!

Cricket -- no the kitty didnt stick around :(
 
Hope you will win over the kitten's affections. It really takes a while for a kitten to get used to you and approach closer. I've had a lot of kittens and cats come to my home in California. I even had 14 cats at one point in life, seriously! I loved and still do today -- cats...and have a very soft spot for cats.
