I think Im going to try this dish that has butternut squash cut up with granny apples, gorgonozola cheese and sweet onions this weekend to see if its good enough to use at Thanksgiving dinner.

I put butter melt mix with brown sugar and chopped the walnuts to spread on the top of mashed butternut squash. I made that every year for Thanksgiving's Day. :)

HAPPY COOKING! :D

All those recipes sound yummy! I especially like the ones for butternut squash. Mmm..

My hubby cooks our turkey in a deep fryer outdoors. It is popular here in the South. He injects the turkey with marinade before cooking. He uses peanut oil for the frying.

The first time he cooked it that way I expected it to taste greasy. I was very surprised. It is not greasy. The oil is all drained off before serving.

It takes about one hour to cook a 20-lb turkey.
