speaking of internet, is this the only reason we have electricity and telephone, to contact everybody?

we need tv to see somebody.
we need car to go see somebody.

if you just think about it... all we need is a farm and

The man's name was Norman Bates. Not Norman-the first name. Just wanted to clear this up.

I haven't seen the remake, but I definately saw the first one. I like Hitchcock's movies, and Psycho is one of the scariest movies I've seen. But I like it -- and I have a copy (VHS) here with me. :) I am planning to watch it again, close to Halloween next month. :)

The shower scene didn't bother me because I knew what was going to happen, but when the detective got killed later in the movie....I nearly had a heart attack!! LOL

I agree with you, the original is the best. :)
 
Interesting fact: Originally the MPAA's board refused to allow the release of the film because 4 of the board's members saw nudity, and the remaining 3 didn't. Once Hitchcock gets the film back, he sends it right back, unedited. Second time around, the original 4 board members who declined at did not believe there was nudity, and the other 3 claimed they did. Hitchcock was a genius.
