Executive fired for bullying Chik-Fil-A employee

Does any one of you know what Smith exactly said to Rachel? I am Deaf. So I can decide for myself if he was bullying or not. Also please answer Jolie's question about Rachel's response to him.

Earlier this evening, I was in Lexington at the mall for the silent dinner social and I saw several employees from CFA were really accommodating and they were gracing customers (even if it wasn't CFA customers) with anything they could do. I thought to myself, Wow that hasn't happened before. It was clear that they wanted to keep doing whatever they can do to be on the society's "good side" which is something that I thought was pretty impressive.

One comment from one of those links said that Dan Cathy donates money to anti-gay groups and one of them supports KILLING gays in Uganda. If that's true, oh boy, he's in big trouble.

I don't think it was necessary to hog the line with a "friendly" conversation like that. I'm sure other people were waiting.

I worry for those who are working at CFA. They would be hurt one day by gay customers that comes in.

At first, I was ok with Dan Cathy's view, but if it's true that he is donating to anti-gay groups, then.........

I'm heterosexual and would never encourage anyone to donate to anti-gay groups. That is basically putting down gays or trying to put gays out of commission. Hurtful to be donating to that cause.

Gay people are rarely violent. And I am sure that those people know that it's not right to confront CFA employees who earn a living to support a family or pay for a tutition. They also know that it's not necessary to attack the employees who remain neutral in order to keep their jobs which are to serve the customers. Alot of gay people know that. They have a good judgement, I believe.
 
Dan's opinion about gay marriage doesn't mean that ALL CFA employees including management agree with it. They can walk out whenever they want to but since we still have a bad ecomony and it's hard to find another job elsewhere so they rather stay and keep their jobs. That's understandable. Hope nothing bad happens to them. People must leave them out of it.

From what I understand Smith may had violated the worker rights by not asking her permission to film her. I thought you had to asked a person if they minded being recording in a phone call , so I would think this worked same as in a video . I think the woman should see if her rights been violated and Smith better find this out too before to try to file a lawsuit, the woman could file a counter lawsuit.

True, that he should ask her for permission like a gentleman before he uploaded it to YouTube in public. He should remove the video if he hasn't yet and apologize to her for getting her involved because she doesn't want to be seen in public like that as she said in the video that she was really uncomfortable with his video recording at the window. He should respect her as a human being. I have no idea whether it violates the company policy or a government law.

That type of behavior on the old mans part is totally uncalled for and unnecessary. Think he needs to grow up and remember what his parents proabably taught him years ago!

That is not true and is a bunch of made up gossip to berate a good man and his company! I challenge anyone to prove otherwise!

I am a little confused. I thought that he spoke for himself, not for the company. Is he the owner or President of the company?
 
The woman should sue him, and then we all will find out if it is a violation of the law.
I hope it is because I would certainly sue anyone who put up a video of me on the web without permission.

Adam Smith, the bullier stated that he's heterosexual customer, not homosexual customer.

CP is correct about gay customers rarely bully and they are just kiss, that all.

And in 2010 Tony Perkins' Family Research Council claimed in federal forms they had spent $25,000 to lobby Congress on "CIVH.Res.1064 Ugandan Resolution Pro-homosexual promotion." This proposed Congressional resolution condemned the Ugandan government's legislative efforts to make "homosexuality" an offense punishable by death.

How can anyone oppose condemning that? But Family Research Council apparently did.
