No. It was about the assumption that just because one carries a piece doesn't mean the person is a republican. You see, in that video (there was another guy who was white but his face was shown and he was interviewed, too) that guys face and anything else that might show the color of his skin was edited out in that video by MSNBC (I believe that's the right station), but why did they do that? That was the question I was attempting to pose. Was he really a republican? Did anybody ask or was able to get more of his background? Maybe he's a libertarian or maybe a fake just to stir trouble? Who knows. But what would people think if the video did show a black man with a piece at a (supposedly) rally where carrying of firearms is allowed?
