No. It was about the assumption that just because one carries a piece doesn't mean the person is a republican. You see, in that video (there was another guy who was white but his face was shown and he was interviewed, too) that guys face and anything else that might show the color of his skin was edited out in that video by MSNBC (I believe that's the right station), but why did they do that? That was the question I was attempting to pose. Was he really a republican? Did anybody ask or was able to get more of his background? Maybe he's a libertarian or maybe a fake just to stir trouble? Who knows. But what would people think if the video did show a black man with a piece at a (supposedly) rally where carrying of firearms is allowed?

Sadly, it is. What doesn't help is to think that having a ballooning deficit is the greatest thing in the world since sliced bread. Or think that Social Security will go on indefinitely despite it being a Ponzi scheme. Or think that paying a few hundred billion dollars a year on interest alone is nothing to be alarmed about even though the debt and interest will keep going up.

Yeah, ignorancy has it own reward doesn't it?
