Employment at Target question

Wirelessly posted (Samsung Epix (i907))

In my experience, I saw a job opening on state of WA jobs (Enterprise). I applied online and called them on the contact they listed and got to an interview in person, got hired already. I was paid 10.00 a hour, but no benefits. You don't want to work for Enterprise because its a dead end job for deaf people.

Anyway, I believe its safe to say that working at a distribution center is not as bad as working in a retail store, otherwise some people who work at various places are not so nice.

Ah, that explains. Yeah, finding a company with insurance benefits offer is getting harder to find.

lol is it even worth it to sue a job that pays you like $7/hr? just saying.

The point of suing is to stand up to discriminating employers. Doesnt matter how low the pay is. Nobody should be evaluated based on deafness.

Suing them for discrimination... all I can say is - good luck!

Only if there is HARD HARD evidence...

If not..then one is shit out of luck.

I do not bother suing companies for deaf discrimination because its a waste of time and proof is very difficult to obtain unless there is a class action lawsuit.

exactly. extremely difficult. the best you can do is be smart for yourself.

and be cool. if you got turned down due to discrimination, well pucker up and move on. don't go to other interview with bitterness and suspicion because of previous bad interview.
