No. Seattle is inland on the Puget Sound. Plus Seattle is hilly.

Longview will be fine.

If a tsunami hits while I'm still here--it's " Bye Bye Byrdie! "

Aww, dang! I hope not....*run to grab a hammer and hit on Byrdie's feet with 2 nails, makin' Byrdie to stay in AD*

Byrdie- you hear of the cascadia fault line off the coast and up along canadian coast. Geologists speculate that if cascadia slips and forms whats called a Megathrust Quake over hundreds of miles span from washington up though British Columbia, and horrible Tsunamis transversing the entire pacific ocean. I hope I never have to witness a situation like that.

Yeah, that stuff happened in 1700 (lonnnnggg time ago). It had estimated scale of 9.0 causing widespread damage to the coastal areas and so on.

Yes I am aware of it.

Living on the Washington coast has made us aware that we can be hit by a tsunami. Although for some reason--it's been determined that where I live--we may just become an island whereas everything to the south and north of me would be washed away.....

Hopefully I would be in the interior before any of this happens!

I'll be sure to remember not to live on the west coast! Especially the Pacific Northwest and Alaska!

I think the only place that isnt prone to any major acute Natural Disaster is Anartica, specifically the South Pole.

No fault lines, no tsunamis, no wildfires, no floods, no tornadoes, but it does have its occasional blizzard, but I think they stay pretty well prepared for that year-round....... the list goes on. If you wanted to live someplace natural disaster free, Anartica is the place for you. Just pack an extra pair of underwear when you go...

Think again---it's breaking apart!

I just don't want him to leave his state if, it should happen. I just want him to stay in this AD here so we all ADers can enjoy readin' his threads/posts.

As runnin' for his life, he is " Byrdie ", his screen name --I was just a little jokin' around about nailed his feet on the ground. He is very nice and cool fellow! :)

AWWWWW shucks!

I wouldn't be leaving this state--I would just head over the mountains to the eastern side of the state.

Oh--wait a minute--I'll be doing that in a couple of weeks to join up with my sweetie!
