about 30 mins ago....


I was driving my truck and saw female adult Deer come out the wood and across the road then hit by new truck front of me! :shock: ....

When Deer come out of wood. I started slam brake my monster truck also the truck front of me that he did slam brake to stop but too late Deer hit his front truck. :(:(:( Deer tried walked away with her shoulder and hip because her all legs broken! :eek3: Consequently, she finally stopped on the sidewalk and lay down. She began labor breaths with a close and open mouth! Man came out of his new truck and looked at deer… Then walked toward to my truck. He talked to me Oh boys why deer come out too quickly! I said yeah I saw it too then we watched deer with labor breaths. I told the man that I have got to going on drop off my daughter at school… He said okay bye! After drop off my daughter. I see police with him. In addition, my town highway dept. truck came and picked up deer's body into the truck :cry:...

What is an idiot deer :roll:
 
In Iowa deer are part of everyday life. They are numerous even in the city. I tried to take a picture of one jumping all the fences by my backyard. It was too fast and I only got a picture of my dog watching it go.

Well I see the deer saw gmc truck coming but deer keep going across and too closer the truck's front :dunno2: i wish that deer stop and avoid the truck!!

My mom hit the deer once.... very expensive repair but luckily the deer was ok. The deer gets hypertensive very very easily and it can literally get stressed to death due to extreme muscle fatigue all over. very sensitive to stress. deer lacks depth perception (unable to tell if it's coming closer at faster or slower rate) which is why you got a term "deer in headlights :shock:"
 
Yeah, I didn't think you REALLY meant to call the deer and idiot, lol, because you have horses and know something about animals and how they react to things vs how humans react, etc.....lol

I have an idea :P Why don't I contact with Government and take all people's paycheck tax to Phillips's founder :fingersx: that building new fences in for deers and animals and no longer to across the roads! :hmm:

That's okay, Phillips, lol. Part of the problem with deer is the encroachment of man and sometimes his poor design skills or money, politics, etc.....until deer pay taxes, the problem will not go away soon, lol.....
 
Yeah, highest rates of deer vs car accidents are in Michigan so be glad it's not in your state. So his new truck is totalled, I guess?
 
I've had couple of close calls with deers. I've seen a lot of deers being decomposed on the shoulder of the highways, rural roads, so and on. It is the norm around here.

I remember, about few years ago, a friend of mine was visiting me from Arkansas. I had to take her to the bus station which is about 1 1/2 hour away from where I live. Anyway, On the way to the station, It was like around 3 am. The road was empty with no other cars around. I was driving and chitchatting with my other 2 friends. The next thing I see is a reflection of the deer's eyes coming from the headlight and I immediately slammed on the brake because I didn't want to hit it. Luckily, the car stopped in time and it was like about 6 feet away from the doe and 2 fawns. Whew!

However, my stepsister was not so lucky with her vehicle. The deer totaled her vehicle big time beyond repairs. Luckily, there wasn't anyone riding with her because her passenger side of the car was smashed.
 
its the way of life here in Arkansas.. thats one reason why I DISLIKE to drive at night time cuz deer will come out fast without warning.. you cant tell .. so i have to look for the eyes and make sure.. but WILL not drive only if for emergencies... everyone said i am being riduclous.. i frankly dont care about it cuz i dont want to hit one.. :(

the worst tiem to be going out at night time is in fall thats when they all came out confused due to shootings... hunting time.. you know?? so i avoid that time .. :(

i felt bad for the deer.. sigh..
 
Two weeks ago, I saw dead deer on sidewalk. That's not far from Philadelphia.

u should have not let the highway dept scoop it up. Betcha that deer could have fed you for a month :D
 
In my hometown area are flooded with the deer. That's why I have a grille guard on my truck.
 
Yes, I know it's really sad.

I have a lot of deers, boars, foxes, squirrels, ferrets, cats, etc around the forest where I live... They often come to the road suddenly... It's definietly sucker to see animal killed... :(

We were being taught to turn the light off and then turn light on then it frighten deers off. We have many deer crossing warning sign then we prepare to drive slowly with light on... and spot the deer then turn light off... and it frighten deer off... then light on. My hubby is on that same and risk road to work for over 22 years... and have seen a lot of deers, foxes, boars... he know how to fright them off... and follow the deer crossing warning sign... *knock on the wood*
 
You need to learn how to do the CPR and sew to save animal's life.
