Did you know that there no best bible out there, You can choose your own bible whatever fit your reading skills, like me I choose the best bible that I can easy understood for myself.

Anyway, Thanks for explaining what you believe in, It's not my place to judge or tell you that you're wrong in what you believe. I let others believe what they wish to believe, I only care about myself in what I believe, I follow the bible and the bible is the only book that I would put my whole faith in.

no she's not god, she's only human. she admits that she's only 98% accurate. she has such a good relationship with her spirit guide Francine. Francine helps her with that stuff.

I did speak to a spiritualist and I thought I believed that I was talking to my dead parents in 7 years ago and now, I'm very angry at the spiritualist because he fooled me and it never happened. I read my bible and found the scripture about not to speak to a spiritualist to communicate with the dead people and then things changed. I pushed the evils away from me and my family.

Believe it or not, in 7 years ago, after I spoke with the spiritualist, I saw a lot of light flickers in my house and I was sooo happy because I thought it was my parents but then in 2 years ago, I learned from the bible and my siblings tried to tell me not to fall into the devils for a few years and I got real angry at the Satan. I prayed to God to forgive me and I did not know. God told me that He knows that and He was waiting for me to find the truth from the bible and then I told God to push the Satan and evils away from me and my family and God did and GUESS WHAT??? The light flickers STOPPED and the light flickers never came back here for two years!!!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!!!! SCARY!!!!

Guess what?? In 7 years ago, I read the book about Sylvia Browne and she said about light flickers. At first, I thought it was so amazing. But now, oh my gosh, Sylvia Brown is on Satan's side. I will NEVER read the books about spiritualists. I only read the bible!!!

Dude, I'm with you on this one. I think a lot of the world's religions are very fascinating.

One of my favorites comes from the Bushongo of the Congo. The believed that the god Bumba vomited, and reality came forth. I think it's just amazing to think about it, "How could there possibly be a group that believes in a god that vomits to create reality?" The question, though, shows that we don't know everything, and that cultures and people around the world are so fascinating and different from each one of us.

I also find the history of Islam very interesting. Some people think that Islam is all about blowing up westerners, but if you look at the roots of Islam, you see that Islam actually preached uniting people and uniting religions.

AJ, good point!!!! What about the apocraphea (sp?) the parts of the Bible that weren't included b/c of politics etc? Man is imperfect....Man is an imperfect instrument to broadcast the Word of God. The copists and other writers had biases and may not have been fluent in the language......I dunno....I'm just so damn cynical.

I don't understand. If you are strong in your beliefs, why should it bother you to read posts about other beliefs? No one forces you to read them, or believe them. How can someone "push" on you to believe? They aren't using physical force or job coercion or blackmail are they? Maybe they are just giving you something to think about.

I think u misunderstood his points here. When you are on other side of christian and I am on this side of christian. I deal with those people often and fed up with them esp when they are above God and telling me that my faith is not saving me. I am trying to find a way to make peace with those fundies christians. I love them but when they butt in and judge my faith and tell me that my faith is false and believe their faiths are righteous. It makes me not want to be part of God anymore because of them.

yeah I notice that too. Just on other thread, Heath posted about Lord's prayer, I notice sometihing about last part of the prayer. It was added from men who rewritten 500 years ago after they break apart from Catholic Church. And few books were removed from bible during that time too. It already showed to me the bible itslef is not 100 percent accurate.

I've had to deal with that kind of behavior from other Christians as well, and I almost left the church as well, because I was thinking, "How could these be God's people and be so nasty towards people they're supposed to consider brothers and sisters (let alone everyone else)?" The conclusion I eventually came to was that my leaving the faith wouldn't solve any problems--running away rarely ever does. I also came to the conclusion that my relationship with God is personal. I have His assurance of salvation and no one else can confirm or deny that. And as for how God deals with others' souls, I don't pretend that I know. What I DO know is that He is infinitely just AND infinitely merciful, so He will do the best that is possible. What that "best" is, is not up to humans to define, but I have faith that I will be pleased with the outcome (and all of us will be)...once we get over the shocks of seeing some unexpected people coming through the pearly gates with us!
