Does anyone else feel unappreciated this Mother's Day?

Aww.. whats wrong? Last year when i was pregnant. my husband has to work and we didnt do anything formothers day. i was crushed but he treated me out to dinner and have a nice time a day after mothers day..
 
Yes cos I am not a mother. Married for 23 yrs and no kids. :tears:

cuz u are mom for 3 times!!! smile.. hope that helps light ur sad up.. i know sometime our men are jerk and dumbass enough not to think of something for us!!
 
Yea I know that feeling but knowing that my son gave me a card last Friday. But my bank charged me for overdraft and I found out it not right so I will go in tmw and straighten it out to get my money back so that my son can take me out to eat and buy me a gift. :hug: my son.
 
aww i only got a mothers day card from TJ.. thats it.. nothing special.. better than nothing... sighs..
 
I'm sorry to hear some of you mothers feel unappreciated. That isn't right. All mothers should be appreciated someway somehow.

On behalf of all of you mothers, I appreciate you ladies for taking the time to do the best you can do whatever your circumstances in life!!!

FYI - I didn't forget either and I took care of it for both my mother and my wife today!
 
It happened to me once. I can't remember when was that. My first mother's day when my son was ummm let's see how old he was. 3 months old. My bf got me silliest gift I ever gotten!!! I was SOO disppointed! I was hoping to get a necklace of my son's birth stone or something really SPEICAL! BUT this morning, my bf ran to the store while I went back to bed after bathroom break, and Tyler walked in my room and gave me PURPLE roses! SO beautiful!!! I was happy! It is sitting on my new armiore now. :)

Soooo BTW,

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all mommies on this forum!!!!

Aww... Huggs..

Know what.. it happened to me few years ago when the 4 oldest kids ( i was single that time).. they didnt give me anything.. but help them to get you something .. like I gave them some money and drive them to store.. tell them what they like for mom..

sometimes .. we help the kids to celebrate special day.. :) whats more.. you have them in your life.. and thats important to have them for the forever lifetime gifts that you got..
 
I got a card homemade card (my mom made it for my son) and a expensive necklace of a boy says I heart u mommy and a balloon and a peach color rose from my son all are from my son ..My mom did for my son to give to me so i was so HAPPY about it .. love my boy!
 
iIn my opinion, it shouldn't matter if they got you something or not. Whats important is LOVE with lots of hugs & kisses. Thats all it matters. By having gifts doesn't buy you happiness. Even if they just say Happy Mothers Day to you with no gifts, you should appreciate it because they said HAPPY MOTHER'S day to you. I don't know how old your kids are, but if they are quite young and doesn't understand about "Mother's Day" you shouldn't get upset with them because for their "YOUNG AGE" they don't know that and you can always teach them what is special about "Mother's Day" and etc. You know? Just don't take things for granted, just appreciate it and be thankful that you have 3 beautiful children you bore and they gave you lots of hugs & kisses, being part of your life, made some cute things for you -- not just for mother's day itself only, it can be any day for no reason just to show you that they love you very much. :)
 
I don't get anything gifts when Im very first mother.. still I have wonderful 1st son ever I had in my life and huge changed my life.. *still huging my first son everyday* wha.. am I feel special mother's day... Still counts...

I ain't worry about gifts or else..


btw My children are not get $ but still making special handmade card.. STILL love'em each days...

Be try remmy that don't you feel dispointment every the first moments without gift as special for your mother's day.. Don't be silly! You're still have wonderful your child around you everyday.. you're still have MOTHER'S DAY special!!!!

:) What a beautiful thing to say sr171soars!!! I bet that lifted up a lot of spirits, and helped them to know that are still some wonderful men in the world. I know your Mom and Wife must have had a beautiful Mother's Day because of you!! Thank you!! :cheers:
 
We get this special day once a year, and it's nice to be spoiled for that one day. Even if it's just to go out for breakfast. I love the homemade gifts and cards, because I know the children put their heart and soul into them. It's just nice when that one day that is meant for mothers, we get the feeling in our hearts that we are appreciated. All that we do, the sacrifices we make, just to know that how much we are loved and appreciated goes a long way in our hearts. I can understand the feelings of all the Moms on this thread. We have to thank God everyday for the blessings he bestowed on us that are called "children".

I can understand how you feel like this. It would be nice when your hubby prepare the special breakfast breakfast for you or get your kids to cuddle and kiss you or do homemade cards and draw the paper, bake cake or whatever if he struggle with money to buy flowers or cards..
 
I have 2 mothers..bio mom out in west coast..i sent her a card and my adoptive mother is about 3 hours away and i have no car so i also sent her a card. I think it will make their day hearing from me.

Happy mothers day ya all (i know a day late but better late than never)
