I do. Especialy the new extra 2 lap rule. No longer you can just end the race on a caution. If theres 1 lap remaining and theres an accident you must start back to lap 2. Thats the way i like it!

I am not quite sure what you meant. I havn't get a chance to read nascar.com lately. Only watch the races and read the captions. I must had missed it since closing my eyes hoping Ryan Newman win! Guess closing my eyes doesn't work.

So do you mean, last year they did green-checkered flag racing only in final lap during caution, now they add 2 laps instead of final lap? :lick:

Pretty sure he means the Green White Checkered which is essentially restarting on with 2 to go. I may be wrong, but if the Caution comes out after the White Flag (1 to go), no Green White Checkered, at that point the race is done and does finish under caution.

As for the original question, I like it. Besides ensuring more races finish under green, it adds another variable to the mix.

Well the fans hate it when you win under a caution. If i had my way if theres an accident with one or two laps to go. I put the red flag out make all cars come to a stop. And then they get one warm up lap and then green flag 2 laps to go and if an accident happens again the process starts all over again. If drivers wanna win then you earn that checker flag in full speed not on a caution.

Nascar sucks.

NASCAR rules, period! It's the one of the most popular sport in America without those stupid union strikes or unfair competition like in NBA, NHL, NFL sports.

It's fair if they are given 2 more laps and anything will change within 2 laps, I think it's going to make NASCAR more appealing.

i support that new rules.. it makes it more challenge for the drivers.. and last year i get pissed off when the yellow catioun flag went up in like 3 laps to go and the front runner wins on a yellow flag.. that's patheic

PAH! to new rules :D

NFL??? They were on strike before? If so I am behind!

The biggest drawback is, it's a 2 lap shootout and some drivers may feel they have nothing to loose. Good deal of cautions happen on a restart when everyone doesnt accelerate at the same rate.

Every sport should change rules to satisfied the fans. Like i love the college football overtime rules. If the NFL made their overtime rules like college did it would be exciting. NFL current OT rule is first team scores wins. Thats phoey!! You mean if you score the other team dont get a try? College overtime rules are more exiting then NFL Rules.

College football use BCS system. Boring! NFL has playoffs!

This is why NASCAR need this playoff thingy. I like the idea what Nascar had done last year. I really like racing to the line better than freeze the feild but I do understood the risks.

Since they incorporated this new rule, I think generally the fans are getting their money's worth...Do you recall the few times last year when a race ended under caution? Fans threw pop, beer containers out on the track knowing that a race was to end under a caution which I think is ridiculously dangerous for drivers....With this new rule, surely this will serve its purpose more than most would think. At least, I'm glad to see that this rule is now in effect and it does enchances the overall aspect of Nascar racing!

Yeah I have seen alot of times include my uncle and aunt that have seen alot of ppls threw pop, beer containers out and that would be too dangerous for the drivers in case if they throw them out toward to the drivers and could cause them having wreck correct?

Yes true, but also driving over any of these loose cans, etc. could also be construed as dangerous projectiles that could cause undue damages to these expensive lean machines!

Well i do like the new rule but i hate it when they cant beat crybaby jeff gordon! :pissed:

Sorry to burst your bubble here, but every driver has a fair chance of winning any race and if Jeff Gordon does win, then my hat's off to him even though I do not root for him whatsoever. ;)
