For me, no way. I don't believe everything the government tells us.

I concur, but it also is regarding the information that the government does not say. What's actually going on behind the scene's, including why various stories are highly important and the ones involving the president are not shown.

I voted yes. I am not afraid of both of you....

Don't you love ADA like an applie pie?

Don't you love VRS like a Victoria's Secret bras and panties?

Don't you love your Freedom of Speech like Pek1's private journals and Steel's surfing onto the porn...

No I don't believe most stuff related to the government. They love to rip us off for lot of things.

Speaking of 'Trust No One', I'm currently watching Season Two of the X-Files. Quite good stuff in those formative years of the X-Files!

Back to the topic, generally, I do place my trust in elected officials and the inherent checks/balances in our constitutional system to guard against corruption, abuse, secrecy and self-dealing activities.

Governments regularly get things wrong, when they do they don't held accountable for their mistakes, like what happened Sept 11th, It sweep under the rug like it's all yesterday's news. So, no I don't trust the governments.

I don't like Government telling us lies especially at the election time, they promised us there will be no pay-tax toll on eastern freeways (highway).

I lost faith in them!

50% - 50% ......

but I believe in doing things yourself and not be so dependent on the government. Sure, you can get a helping hand here and there from the government once in a while. Nothing wrong with that.

Nope, I don't trust the government. I don't trust the Presidents, either. :)

Did I mention Church ?

If you truly hate the government, why can't you encourage your priests to take the public official positions?

Did I say " hate " ? Re-read my post again.

Let me rephrase the question...

If you don't trust the government, would you encourage your priests and your church friends to take the government positions?

I don't think so

Trust the government??!!! I'm ready for George W. to leave now. Before he's out of office, he'll have our troops in another quagmire (Iran, Korea, take your pick). Another Bush will be President before New Orleans is completely rebuilt or Social Security is 'fixed'. Did I mention real educational reform?

Another Bush? Try the same one.
I cannot find the pic, but at a ceremoney where they unveiled a life-size statue of G W Bush, the inscription at the base read G W Bush, 2001 to (blank). Huh??? Either they are ready for his possible assasinnation before he finishes his term, or he wants to make real his wish to be Dictator for Life.
