Should I insist on taking the right-of-way, if another driver does not yield to me when he or she should??? Why?

Should I always insist on others going ahead of me? Why?

Should I always stop for any pedestrian crossing the street, jaywalking? Why?

Should I not passed a car from behind that has stopped at a crosswalk? Why?

If there is no Stop or Yield signs at the intersection, should I speed up?

:dunno:

Have you studied your state driving manual?

Only if you want to have a wreck.

You have to use common sense; whatever keeps the flow of traffic smooth. Sometimes letting people cut in ahead of you aggravates all the people waiting behind you, especially if the "cutters" cheated to get ahead. Do whatever is safer and most logical at the time.

What's your alternative? Run over them?

Do you want to kill someone?

Just a few weeks ago, in my local area, this same situation actually happened. A woman and her two little boys were walking across the street. One car stopped to let them cross. Another car, behind that one, pulled around the stopped car. The second car hit the family. Both boys were seriously injured. One died.

Do you mean none of the four corners have signs? Or do you mean just the corners in your direction have no signs?

Either way, why would you speed up? Are you already driving the right speed?

Agrees with Reba...

Even though I may have the right of way, but I always have to stop because I don't want to risk accident. Better be safe than sorry. Ha, there were times that I really want to beat the other person, but to tell you the truth it's not really worth it. We're only talking about few seconds difference from here and there. Also, it keeps my insurance record clean. :)

*Have you studied your state driving manual?
Yes I am studying, sort of.

It is illegal to jaywalk, they should use a crosswalk.

*Do you want to kill someone?
No.

Sorry to hear about that.

I mean like at the interstate... if I get on the ramp to get on the interstate.

I'm glad that you are studying the manual. When you take the "written" test (usually on a computer), the questions are taken from the manual information.

Yes, I know jaywalking is illegal but that still doesn't give you the legal or moral right to run over them.

Oh, that's different. You wrote "intersection", not "interstate". That is a totally different situation. :)

Normally you would speed up to match the speed of the interstate traffic while you merge. It depends on traffic conditions, and how long your merging lane is.
