To me, anyone under the age of 18 is still considered a kid to me.

What about you?

Actually, the threads deal w/ exact opposites. Because of that, I don't see why we should lock this thread. The threads deal with two entirely different viewpoints, which is only fair.

Personally, I have referred to teens as kids. Reason: Because, they are. In the United States, you are a child aka a KID until you reach your 18th birthday.

Some might find that offensive, but I really don't see what the big deal is. If a person doesn't want to be called a kid, they can request not to be. But, that doesn't negate the fact that that's exactly what they are. A child or a kid.

Right. I would consider a teenager a CHILD, even if they are a teenager..."teenager" describes how old the CHILD is...sure, the teenager might not like it if I call her/him a kid/child...sure, I won't call him a child in front of him, but by LAW he is a CHILD...

Teenager = a child that is 13 years old to 18 years old.

19 years old = a LEGALLY ADULT teenager.

Hope y'all understand this now.

I have disagree because 13-17 is considered to be teenager, even under children. Legal adult is start at 18 and up because allow to watch porn movies, read porn book, play games based on AO "Adult Only" but rare to make it and other thing.

Legally it means that one can engage in a contract. The same or a different minimum age may be applicable to, for example, parents losing parenting rights and duties regarding the person concerned, parents losing financial responsibility, marriage, voting, having a job, being a soldier, buying/possessing firearms (if legal at all), driving, travelling abroad, smoking, sex, gambling (both lottery and casino) being a prostitute (if legal at all), being a client of a prostitute, being a model or actor in pornography, etc.
In most of the modern world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and China; legal adult age is 18. Exceptions:

15: Iran
16: Scotland
17: Indonesia
19: South Korea
20: Japan
21: Saudi Arabia

I voted yes, even when they turn 18..Still a teenager yes merging into adulthood. When they turn 18 they are able to do more certain things legally like voting, allowed to be involved in more things, like joined the Armed Forces, even buy cigarettes, also be charged with crimes in adulthood..Although I hear more about younger teens getting charged as adults under 18 years old. Just depends on how severe the crime is.

You show no respect on teenager´s feeling. Don´t you know what respect is?

Just an observation

Interesting...

I looked at the two polls. In both, it would seem that most people consider teenagers kids.

This doesn't surprise me. It seems that what we're dealing with is a differences in culture and ideals. Perhaps in Europe, they tend to think teeangers shouldn't be treated as kids. However in the United States, we consider teenagers children until they reach the age of 18.

:locked: recommend!
No, recommend this merge into Liebling's thread! wink..

Anyway......My vote is that all teens are offically kids to me.. because I have son jr. he is sub-teen right now.. he is still kid to me..

Young adult is 18 to 30 period...

I still think they are kids period because they cant make decisions just yet. so after the age of 13 they are considered teenager to 18 then they are adult teenager then 21 they are fully adult. i can see everyones opinions are different..but thats my
