Right. I would consider a teenager a CHILD, even if they are a teenager..."teenager" describes how old the CHILD is...sure, the teenager might not like it if I call her/him a kid/child...sure, I won't call him a child in front of him, but by LAW he is a CHILD...

Teenager = a child that is 13 years old to 18 years old.

19 years old = a LEGALLY ADULT teenager.

Hope y'all understand this now.

Not correct.

As you said: " LAW he is a CHILD"....

Can you link me where the law label teens as child or kid because I can´t find them? All what I found the example of US link... To American public, teenagers as young adult/teens. See this example.
BBC - Parenting - Your kids - Communication

Can you give me link of example when you disagree with this link? Everyone label teenagers as teens, not kids.

i was thinking about this. i borrowed the school rule book so i could check the attendance policy and posted it in "call in sick" thread.

the law clearly that it is a CHILD till the age of 18, period!

i dont see a word Teenager none? so lucia is right about this one!

I still call teenagers a kid because most teenagers on average have poor responsibilities. If they start getting job, car, stay off the drugs, etc, then I would call them a young adult because I'm proud of them working hard for it. It's too bad for them for being called a kid, they deserve and accept it as long it's under the parent's roof. They need to realize that they need to work hard to be responsible enough. So, I consider teenagers as a kid until the age of 18. No discussion!
