Do u see the dancer turning right/left? right brained left brained question?

I just ran this by someone who should have seen the dancer go counter clock wise since he is so not right brained. I'm wondering if this is just a joke? Does anyone see the dancer @the link going counter clock wise?

The Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

I guess it would also depend on what the person is expecting before viewing the animation.

"Do you see the dancer spinning left or right?"

"Do you see the dancer spinning right or left?"

Notice how I changed the order of the wording? That could affect how a person thinks when looking at the image.

If I wanted to be neutral, I would simply show that person the animation first... then ask questions later. ;)
 
Hmm... I noticed that I can simply switch views myself.

Half of the time when I first notice the animation, I see it going clockwise. The other half of the time, I see it going counter-clockwise.

Even when I first see the image, I can simply reverse it by thinking it. :)
 
for the life of me I can't make it go counter clock wise. u r the first person i know who is able to see the twirler go both directions. I only know ppl who can see it go clockwise...
