In another thread, AJ and ^Angel^ are commenting on the problems they are having with disrespect being displayed toward them and I have to concur that they are right.

If you will notice, this forum is called Christianity, Religion, Spiritual and other Beliefs.

Now, who are the clowns that are disagreeing to disagree with everyone else on this forum? Granted, I'm still new here, but I am getting to know several of you people here and look forward to coming here.

I am a Christian, but will not tell you what denomination or where I attend church. This does not mean that I can tell "Whomever" (a pretend person) that I am better than s/he is because I'm a Christian. You Christians know better than this kind of attitude, so let's stick a sock in it, okay? Suppose you are on a different site and you don't have anything in common with the people there, is it still okay to do that? No, it's not. We ALL need to respect other people, as well as their religious beliefs or lack of them. None of us are here to shove our religiousity down other peoples' throats, so why is this being done?

In conclusion, the person who posts the thread, as I posted this one, deserves to keep their topic on their topic. If you want to disagree, fine...pm them. If they block you, don't bring it here or another thread, as that's not ethical and you need to let it go.

For AJ and ^Angel^, if I've said anything that offends you, I apologize for that, as you don't deserve to have comments slammed at you. You two have been keeping your cool over this and it is remarkable. From my point of view, Christian people can agree to disagree and let it go, but often they cannot. As far as I'm concerned, I know you two have talked about leaving...please don't. No one likes to be on a website that is hostile. If the Christians want a website addy that is very hostile and they all talk about basically one subject, go to http://www.fundamentalforums.com/

Your thoughts, the way you described it in your post is exactly pretty much how I do feel also. It does get a little tiring to see how someone posts when disagreeing with another person's view that's related to religion.....it's like what you said about respecting views or beliefs of others that seem to be getting carried away lately or like you said, getting slammed for the comments anyone makes.....I do like to be known as a christian myself and I sure wouldn't want to be acting like I know any better or this way or that way is better....if I have, I'm sorry for that, I do not have any intention to step on anybody else's toes for however they believe or follow, as long as I can respect what they do believe, I do hope that I can expect the same back too.....

I just hope more of these kind of posts that are related to religion stays in the Religion forum instead being spread everywhere in AD.....and stick to agreeing to disagreeing with respect no matter what others may believe in.....

There's no need to apologize to me for anything, I have not felt offended by any of your posts..... ;)

:gpost: Both of you! I agree about keeping religious out of other threads that should not belong there. It cause more flaming war. I hate to see good threads being locked or out of control. ;)

i just want to have fun. it seems to be like AD has turned into nothing BUT a religious forum all together. almost every thread that is created has some sort of religion in it. the thread topic could be about motor oil....and somehow someone would bring up a religious quote and BOOM all of a sudden we are talking about god and jesus.

now dont get me wrong, i have nothing against religion or anyone's beliefs....i just dont want to talk about it all the time. and i dont want to see it in every thread that is created. if i want to talk about god, ill go in the forum that was made for that.

and its not just about religion....its about fights in general. i mean like i said, the thread created to try and keep ^Angel^ in AD resulted in a fight! and im not trying to play mr. Good Boy. i know i have started my share of fights in here with certain members, and i should have let them go. ive been doing my best to be quiet when i see someone post things that make me angry. It's understandable that fights can and probably will happen.....but not ALL the time. it feels like there is a fight EVERY day and thats starting to get old. let i said fights are going to happen, i mean we're human, we get angry and we have to let it out sometimes. but not everyday, all day, all the time.

and no pek, u didn't offend me in fact i applaud u for creating this thread.

Yes, I'm tiring to see that people mix God with religious and bible etc... Example: People claimed that the bible is the God's word which it's not but it's regligious authors who wrote the bible. It's God and Jesus, I consider in my heart and thank them to give me the strength.

Beleive me, I have nothing against anyone's beliefs because I'm neutral to any beliefs.

We all have freedom of speech, if you don't like it then don't go in forum.

yes u are allowed to have freedom of speech...no one is taking that away from you, but there is a time and a place for your speeches and there are different subforums for u to do this. which is the point we are trying to make.

you can talk about God all u want, u can talk about Jesus until he walks the earth again.....IN the religious category...no where else.

let me break it down for you

if it is not a religious thread............DONT PUT RELIGION INTO IT!

now, understandably someone might say in a thread not related to religion they might say, what would god do? that doesnt mean its time to start talking about the bible and everything.

Of course, we have the freedom of speech to say whatever we want yet there are rules apply here in AD, and people forget the word ' respect ' lately and how to use it when replying to a post you happen to disagree with....

Afterall, respect goes both ways dear

It helps just to ignore what you dont feel revelant to the topic at hand. Tag the post as something for the mods to look at, too, if it comes to that. I know, it's annoying... but it works for me. Some people don't know how to listen.. how can they, if they do all the talking? Hehehe. Might help to know what the administration policy is on this one, too. Hmmm, whazz diff between being civil and being loudmouthed? :D

Yeah hon, that's what I've been doing!

And what's the difference between being civil and being loudmouthed? hmmm....Good question hon, I don't know the answer to that :-/

Hm, maybe it's not a question of having freedom in speech?! People can talk all they want.... but will they get our attention AND respect? :dunno:

:bump:

Yeah, freedom of speech isn't entirely and recklessly free; tis a hard lesson to try to hammer home!

Oh, yes, Liza, the heavy duty power of the stroke of the pen can be exquisite, indeed!

Well that's depends what the thread or post really is about that draws our attention, but in a way respect had to be earned otherwise the thread will just go in flame where fighting will start to happen....

Hey Liza watch out girl :bump: LOL!

Okay I will try very hard to not say God and any religion. I might as well put God out of my life altogether.

I'll ignore all immoral posts and thread and just pay more attention to non debatible
thread and posts.

Okay? Okay.

Miss*Pinocchio,

No one is saying that.

If you're in a thread that's discussing motor oil or sports or the closet, that's what the people there are discussing. You may post there, but you may or may not have people agreeing with you. You need to use common sense. Yes, I'm a Christian, but that doesn't mean that I'm talking about God all the time...do you talk about God all the time? I have other interests, too. Gee whiz, we're all human and, especially me, I don't hum "Kum By Yah" all the time or witness to people about salvation...I would never get my other work done...know what I mean?

I concur, ^Angel^, and I was slammed in a newby's post about God, so I know what you mean.

AJ,

Thank You!! You made my day by your comments!! :thumb: I had noticed that while I was editing the thread, many people were already reading what I had written, which I meant every word. Various people here were getting me a little upset that others were being singled out and picked on, which isn't necessary. God knows life is a battle already, do we have to experience it in our leisure, too?

Or go to your control panel and put the person on ignore status until further notice. I've done that, but currently, no one here is on that list. :thumb:
